The women who work at the office NEVER answer the phone. I asked to talk to my public defender Zarina Hernandez or to give me information about what time I needed to be in court. They said hold on, I'm still on the phone waiting for them to pick up. Do NOT call. Go to the office and speak with someone. The people who work front desk are incompetent women that can't do their jobs. They're getting paid to sit and do nothing. I have to drive across town because the front desk ladies do not want to help people.

Got my case closed quick and the front desk lady Bridget was always very supportive and helpful. I appreciate you guys!!

Maybe ???? it's a possibility that the case workloads placed on the Public Defenders are More than they Can handle. I mean a wise person would conduct their own investigation on such person(s) as well. (Referring to the Public Defenders record ratio. Win/Lose) That's what This Location has to offer. GOD bless them All & pray that they Truly Before GOD work on Our behalf. Less the LORD Himself will intervene. AMEN ????????

After finally attending a hearing for my son who is currently incarcerated I was actually embarrassed to admit that I live in Marion county from the incompetence of the P. D.'s office. Granted they are training new attorneys but the presiding attorney was not very engaging in her cases and the judge had to keep reminding them to negotiate with defendants on their own time. There was also a time the judge rejected a plea agreement as it was for a 50 year sentence if the defendant violated. That shocked me that they would even enter in to an agreement like that. Let's just say I expect a $7500 attorney from the Public Defenders and if they would actually do their jobs the prisons and jail may not be overcrowded. My son has been sitting without bond for 4 months on charges he has plead not guilty to. And in all that time depositions have not been filed even though LeAnn Barnes who heads this office claims they were done in March. As nothing has been done on the case with the pretrial conference scheduled for today? Everything has been pushed back until June/July! In the meantime my son will sit in jail as these attorneys are incompetent and unprofessional and Michael Graves does nothing while his attorneys make $54K and he makes $155K! Do not re elect Michael Graves.

I just would like to share an review on Neil Keller, whom was my son Shelley Cook public defender. You hear a lot of people say that most attorneys in that office are public pretender because they slack at what they do, but I can honestly say that Mr. Keller is an public defender because he work hard to get my son less time in prison, it hurts me to see my son go back but at least it’s not for 10 years what they were trying to get him. Job well done Mr. Keller, please continue to work for inmates or anyone that gets in trouble because everyone deserve another chance even if they have to do time.
