I know this because I was seeking services from an attorney and inquired through many of the names listed on these reviews. Seek an attorney who provides professional and competent services. This one is not that attorney. *UPDATE to Melissa Goodstein's response*: I absolutely felt the need to post a well deserved, accurate review. After all of the time and stress that my fiancée endured from the lack of professional services, I would like to heed the warning to any potential future clients, so they may consider hiring someone who will be of the utmost service to them. It is also my opinion that since Melissa and my attorney have worked "collaboratively together for the last 15 years", I find it very difficult to believe that so many common mistakes (not individual to our needs) were made in our documents. It is simply too coincidental that she was charged top dollar for, after 15 years of collaborative prenuptial agreements and legal documents executed, an abundance of mistakes were made. While WE have no complaints regarding you, personally, this is business. WE paid for a service that was less than mediocre. I thank you for your rebuttal and bid you a good day, madam. All the best.

My ex-husband and I recently finished collaborating with Melissa as our divorce mediator. It was an excellent experience and I highly recommend working with her. At our first meeting, Melissa immediately put us at ease with her warmth and professionalism. She carefully explained the process of working on our divorce agreement as well as the steps entailed in filing for a divorce. Although my ex and I thought we knew everything we needed to discuss, we were grateful for the detail Melissa provided, as we discovered there were areas we were unaware of that needed to be defined. She communicated clearly and answered carefully our many questions. By the end of our meeting, we felt very well-informed by Melissa and trusted her knowledge and experience to partner with us. Throughout the process of creating our divorce agreement, Melissa was very candid about what she felt was equitable regarding our opinions, and carefully laid out what the law deems as such. She participated in meaningful discussions with us, listened, and asked questions to ensure she understood both of our needs. Her goal was to help us find common ground, and her advice was always neutral and based on fact. I truly felt that Melissa had both of our long-term financial and emotional wellbeings in mind, as well as that of our children. Melissa was also great about keeping us on track with the process. My ex and I dropped the ball a few times with sending back paperwork, and we appreciated Melissa’s friendly reminders. Melissa was also upfront about her fee, which we both felt was very affordable, especially compared to other mediators in Westchester. When looking for a mediator, I wanted someone who was knowledgeable, trustworthy, unbiased and caring. We found all of this and more with Melissa and are grateful for her assistance.
