My boyfriend and myself have been through the process of renting with Capital for the last three weeks. We originally put in our app for a different house then we are actually moving into due to it being rented out before we got to it. No big deal at all they have beautiful properties that are very well taken care of. We went through the process and Jared answered all of our questions as best he could as soon as he could. I wish you all would recognize the work he puts in and the amount of hats he wears for this company. Given the workload he does a fantastic job being thorough, communicative, and supportive with what he can. We are ALL human and put in others shoes I'm sure the situation would be much different. We have had a smooth and uneventful lease signing and move in. We are very much looking forward to being in our new home and renting with capital. Thank you all for everything you do and special shout out to Jared. What a valuable asset to the company.

My home for six years was at Cottages of Bridgewater a Capital property management investment in Fort Wayne Indiana. This year in April I moved to a different location because of circumstances beyond my control. I was told I was a good tenant and saw several people Andrew Adam and Aaron as employees and friends. I reached out and called Aaron to help me put up some pictures and a mirror. Aaron replied yes, and without any hesitation came over to my apartment yesterday. He placed the heavy mirror and pictures leveled them and placed them on my walls listening to my suggestions and me his and staging my family pictures on the wall. This was not a long process and his courtesy presence and skill made the experience fun and easier for me. I extend my gratitude to all of these people at Capital Property Management.

Instead of calling unhappy tenants you all are wasting your time replying with lies to the unsatisfied tenants reviews. Amanda, Jared or whoever is responding to these reviews please do everyone a favor a stop with the constant lies. As stated in my review about the unit not being clean, the nasty carpet, the "paint job" and so fourth you KNOW for a fact this was all mentioned prior to us moving in and we were told it would all get taken care of, so yes we signed the lease and come move in nothing was done. Not as stated by you that the key wasn't there, but because you are a company that doesn't care. The $200 credit that was applied to our first month rent due to issues not being addressed wouldn't have been necessary if you just cared and stopped lying all the time. As for ignoring maintenance that again is another lie. No one has contacted myself or my husband to repair any of the work other than the time they came to the unit unannounced and tried to enter the open garage and due to being home by myself and not having any idea they were coming I was scared and yelled NO and shut the garage. Maybe the times we put in to have the work completed should be followed accurately and things as someone being scared wouldn't happen. We need them over here because the current issue we are having is a FIRE HAZARD and the other issue is one that could severely cause damage to the property if it is what we are thinking. As for giving the office a call to address our concerns that's rich, when phones are barely answered and by talking on the phone there is no documented proof of what was stated, so the lies can keep coming from the mouths of everyone who works in that office. Maybe provide an email so there is documented proof of what was discussed and what will/wont be done. I guess in order to do that you'd have to be an honest company. Instead of playing this petty game of replying to google reviews to try to save face on a public forum you should contact by email (because proof is needed with you all) to all the unhappy tenants and actually address the issues at hand.

Being in property management myself, let me just say this experience has been amazing. Our owner sold our home and we were without a place to live. We were recommended by one of our friends to check out Capital. We hopped on the website and found a nice home with updated appliances and all around a beautiful home. We applied online and were approved. Within 24 hours Jared had called us and confirmed we were good to go. Payments are made easy through Appfolio and with this time crunch of a move they made it happen. Jared has answered all of our questions with ease and you feel cared for as a resident. Cannot wait to move in and make memories in this beautiful home. Thank you capital and thank you Jared for all of your help!

Update: Contrary to the owner's response to this review, NO ~ I received ONE return call on 4/24. During that call, Jarod said that clause was wrong and we COULD SMOKE ON THE PATIO, etc. but he couldn't change the lease to reflect that. Original review following: IMPOSSIBLE to contact and talk. Called them 4 times, leaving voice mail each time, on 4/13 when having trouble filling out application. No call back EVER. Finally made it through the process to signing a lease, which held a clause not mentioned on the listings anywhere. Started calling the morning of 4/21, and left numerous voice mails. Jarod finally called back on 4/24 and said the clause in the lease was INCORRECT, but he couldn't change it. He actually wanted us to sign a lease that was wrong?!? There's ALWAYS a way to correct a LEGAL document and I won't sign one that's wrong. We were hoping they'd figure it out and send another lease, but it was simply cancelled. We probably dodged a bullet as I wonder what would happen if the furnace goes out in winter. READ THAT LEASE BEFORE YOU SIGN, because they'll add something never written or discussed prior. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE experience.
