Lou-Ray Associates

This year was my first and last time filing my taxes with Lou Ray Associates. My family has gone to Lou Ray in the past and have had a good experience, so they recommended I use them this year. Clearly the operations of this business are nothing like what they used to be... Where do I start? Their communication was nonexistent and their organization was incredibly poor. Apparently there is a questionnaire that you are supposed to receive (or at least used to receive) when you first start with Lou Ray but I never received this. The only contact I ever got from them after my initial phone call and dropping off my tax papers with instructions etc. was a single email that was apparently sent to the wrong address and then never followed up on. I had to make 3 separate phone calls myself during the month and a half that it took to complete everything to figure out what was going on. Aside from that, they made 4 mistakes with my account that I'm aware of and had to bring to their attention...who knows what else was messed up in the process. Yikes. I would suggest not going here unless you want to give someone money just to do their job for them.

There's truly a lot i would like to say about Lou-Ray. In the 4 years that we have been working with Lou-Ray we actually have had the exact opposite experience than prior reviews. Even with that being said i'm not entirely sure that the miscommunication and misunderstandings over the years should fall entirely on Lou-Ray. We truly believe that it takes time to find the right accountant. It takes time for them to understand your brand and where you plan on taking it, and that is something that happens with the many hours of communication over the years. The things we appreciate the most about Lou-Ray is their patience and willingness to answer any questions we have. With these two attributes alone they far and exceeded previous accountant interactions 10 fold.

I had been using the services of Lou Ray Associates since the 90’s the CPA I was using fell ill and my acct was taken over by another CPA in the firm. I had been happy for years with their service. My taxes are simple. However, I just received their bill for 2019....doubled the amount they charged with no prior notice by letter or phone call. I may not be a “profitable client” I am a client! Real disappointed.

LOU RAY ASSOCIATES MANY YEARS OF FINE SERVICE. WOULD USE NO ONE ELSE.

Lou Ray was good up until this year. Then a guy by the name of Eric took over and he is absolutely terrible. My whole family went there and now none of them will return. Find a new a new career Eric your awful.
