I was served for a debit that I owe. No disputing that at all. I called because honestly I was shocked to have been servered. Apparently, over the course of a year it went to two different companies and then to this company. Through that time the companies had tried to contact me via mail and phone. Which, I did not receive. I can see why for the phone calls. My number changed and they all had my old one but my address has a mail forward. So am not sure why I never received any notice to stop it from getting to this point. However, that is not my reason for posting this review.. when I called to make arrangements and get this taken care of and enter into a written agreement they refused because I can not afford 160 a month right now. I can barely afford rent right now and they claim we should have after a rough estimate over a 1000 left over a month. We don't. I told her that we could do 40 a month right now and then beginning of the year we would be able to pay half of remaining balance and then February the final half. They still refused. It's basically pay what they say or they can't help you. 160 may not seem like a lot.to some but to us right now it means not eating or not having heat. She keep repeating how sorry she was and that they wanted to work with us but just not for the amount we can afford.

Though I'm not done doing business with this firm, I can say that so far the service I've received has been great. I spoke to Crystal O. about an outstanding debt that had been sold to them. She was very professional and we were able to set up a payment plan that was based on current financial circumstances. I was VERY scared to call them concerning said debt because of the reviews here but for me at least, it was relatively painless (minus having debt in the first place) and I feel relieved to know I won't have to really think about paying off my debt whereas before it was a constant stressor. I know exactly how much I'll be paying and when, and they offer very flexible payment options (change your due date, check by phone, etc.) At least currently, I'm not feeling scammed by anyone other than the employee who gave 17 year old me a credit card all those years ago.

I’ve read a lot of the reviews and I find it astonishing that a lot of you are complaining because YOU did not pay your bills. Anyone who owes money is going to have a lot of resentment and anger but you also need to do some research of your own. Being on both sides of the spectrum you need to realize that if you “claim” you weren’t served you need to take it up with the process serving company. Also of course you are going to say that your wages were garnished without notice, bull the courts would never let that fly. One bad “employee “ doesn’t mean the firm is bad but bring it to a supervisor attention so it can be corrected. This firm has been in business for over 50 years and if they were truly bad they would not be in business. You all sound like spoiled kids who don’t get they’re way when if you would just pay your bills on time instead of wasting your time with unfounded complaints there wouldn’t be a problem! I found them to be professional and of course disgruntled employees are going to say stupid stuff so GROW up!!!!

Having worked there before I am so happy to read they have closed down. Very unethical treatment of employees as well as debtors. Just sad that those same lawyers are still allowed to practice law.

Staff does not provide correct information consistently, they do not follow through with information regarding your account to be mailed such as payment history, or agreements made. This is the first debt collection company I've ever dealt with and the absolute worst debt collection I've ever dealt. Prayers to anyone that has to deal with these people.
