Mary M. Davies, Attorney At Law

Reviews

Mary goes above and beyond for her clients. Mary, and her office treat you like family. Absolutely will not give up on getting you the best outcome for your case. I have been a client of Mary's for four years now. She got me through a terrible hard fought divorce, and parental agreement custody battle. She fought tooth and nail for my father's rights, and got me 50/50 custody, and still fighting, and exceeding expectations with every time i call her. She's always there for you. So if you're looking for an attorney that cares, and has years of experience fighting for fathers rights, Call Mary. You will NOT be disappointed in your decision.
The initial call to Mary was all it took to know, she was exactly what I needed. Her wide knowledge of the law in these types of cases helped tremendously! She laid out what was expected in my case, and put to rest any misconceptions. She completely turned my case around and my outcome was much better than it would have been with prior counsel. Her passion for the job and analytical skills were excellent, she tactfully responded to any “curveballs” thrown at us. Mary was able to interpret and respond practically and appropriately. Her compassion for her clients is also noteworthy. 5 Stars!!!
I began a long difficult journey in 2003 when my daughter was born and her mother had many issues that unfortunately would have made living together let alone raising a child together the wrong & worst decision for everyone involved. I filed for custody as soon as she was born which I knew would make a difficult situation worse in the short term but I was focused on my daughter's well being and safety for the long term. No one in my family or any of my friends have been in a situation like this, so not knowing or being referred to any family/custody attorney for help, I fell victim to aggressive and steady marketing which I quickly regretted. I have found that many attorneys will ring you up to the tune of $10,000 in fees just learning your back story and going to a few status dates which simply were to set future status dates and as soon as you aren't paying them in considerable lump sum amounts to keep up as you finally start having meaningful court dates, they will request to withdraw/drop you in a heartbeat. Some charge you to listen to your voicemails then call you and ask you about your voicemail which is unnecessary but when you're emotionally charged up you can't wait to tell them, hence you're charged for telling the same story twice. I've even had some charge me for their drive time to Court, gas, as well as their costs for parking which I later learned are all items they are not supposed to charge. Long story short, through many years of bringing consistent police reports, arrests, orders of protection, supervisors, ER visits, DCFS investigations, 4+ court appointed GALs, mediations, violated Court Orders & visitation schedules, counseling, many different Judges, hearings, depositions, etc etc to the Court's attention over a 15 year period, I went through way too much for far too long that should have been resolved years earlier. I went through several attorneys, some left me due to not being able to provide the lump sums of money they requested and left even when it was right before very crucial hearings, others I left because they barely provided me any time or assistance with my case. I was referred to Mary Davis later in this process by a GAL, and that's when things finally changed for the better. She keeps you extremely on track as to what we needed to focus on, despite my head scrambling all over the place with 1,000 things to discuss about the past 14 yrs of court. She kept me focused and we resolved and ended my nightmare case in a timely manner which quite honestly felt like a miracle to me by that point. I feel that if I had her represent me earlier in this debacle or even better from the beginning that things would have gone much better and faster saving me years of frustration, but unfortunately I had to learn the hard way. Who you have represent you is far more important than anyone realizes and you need someone that knows what they're doing, cares about their clients and helps you resolve the issues that cause us literally years of emotional and financial pain. Mary was the attorney that put an end to the most difficult years and situations that I had to endure and I am grateful for her.
I enjoyed working with Mary Davis so much that I have hired her twice. She was a reccomendation and I couldn't be happier. When dealing with emotionally charged legal matters she is a calm, yet ferocious voice in the room. Mary and her team always kept me up to date on my case and clearly let me know that I am a priority. Every step in the cases were explained in great detail and were easy to understand. Each decision I made she was able to explain the potential pros and cons of each. I am forever grateful that Mary was able to quickly win my case and it has forever changed my life.
Mary Davis is the best divorce lawyer in DuPage county hands down. I never thought that I would need a divorce lawyer (who does) but a friend referred me to her and I am very glad that he did. She has always been very professional and compassionate. Divorce is very stressful. Nobody wants to deal with lawyers in general but you can tell that Mary cares about her clients and the outcomes of their cases and especially when children are involved. I highly recommend her. Thank you for the help and guidance during this very rough time Mary, Kam and the team at MD law.
