MDHA case manager or workers have been nothing but evil to me I have been homeless for 5 months now with kids just trying to get someone to approve for an apartment I have wasted money on applications but these lazy people don’t want to do their job that they are getting paid to do. They don’t communicate nothing they take almost a month to answer RTA like it’s ridiculous this need to be investigated.

I was unable to complete a online application. Went to the property and was turned away when security told me you can only apply online. They should fix that!! Some ppl can't apply online and paper application are critical to their quality of life or ability to receive affordable housing. While I can post reviews my ability to send emails and attachments are being digitally stolen by a 15 year stalker.

I am a person I pay attention to things that go on that affect the African-American community. MDHA is not helping our people I notice that when Black people get vouchers they’re sent to the worst part of town with the very worst properties an slumlords and all that entails. Statistics show that there are just as many white or Caucasian people on section 8 and food stamps. Why is it that in all the projects of Nashville you see no white people it’s not even a salt and pepper blend that’s because a white citizens who are in need on section 8 with no baby daddies and food stamps get a different list Of properties that the landlord will fix the drip and sinks and paint that’s chipping paint, They get the list that move them into the nice neighborhoods and apartments where they blend in with the nice white people and you can’t tail that they are low class Caucasian or white people because they take care of their own. That’s Called segregation, The pilgrims are doing what they have always done In the past,, nothing has changed. white recipients of section 8 housing they get a different list better housing. African-Americans in Nashville Tennessee don’t expect the help Just because you’re a human being in need. You will be put at the end of the list for the worst properties in Nashville the best ones go to our white sisters and brothers. Fact. Just remember the first will be last and the last will be first. And so it be stay safe be blessed and keep the faith a change gone come.

I would just like to say that housing need more people like Ms. McKinley & Ms. Sabrina. These individuals didn’t know me personally but listened to what I was going through. I really appreciate both of these women because they could have told me to call my worker. But they didn’t. Section 8 should be glad to have them, because you don’t get that in many places. I have to say that I was impressed. Both women helped me when I needed it most!! And every time I call & leave a name & number, Section 8 & that includes my new worker has always returned my calls. I have nothing but good words for these women. Thanks
