Mundorff & Kovac

I met with Mr. Kovac to speak with him about a stalking order that had been filed against me. The petitioner had no significant evidence aside from non threatening emails. During the consultation, Mr. Kovac hyper-focused on the love-sick emails I had sent my ex; trying to give me the impression that I was in a bad spot, and needed an attorney to sort it out. It nearly seemed that he were advocating for her - pressing me with a very unimpressed tone of voice, and body language, about the irrelevant details of the petitioners claims. After telling me that I "didn't exactly have a home-run", he proceeded to ask for a $6,000 retainer, ensuring me that it was critical that I hire him. Today, I won my case, and represented myself. This man tried to get me shook, so that I would grease his palms with far more money than it would've cost a 5-star attorney to address the case. He is familiar with law, and I am sure he knew good and well that I wasn't facing anything more than false allegations, and that there were no grounds which the judge would make the order permanent by. I do not recommend him. Seems that he's after money, and couldn't care less about the issues that any of his potential clients are facing.

It's gotten to the point since September 22nd, where the receptionist knows my voice without me saying my name but Kovac is always busy and cannot say if he will or will not look at my case in detail but does seem interested, seems like greed prevents him from even referring me to someone who will take my effort and time seriously.. Kinda disappointing to see this is a legal requirement to leave your potential clients guessing considering my last interaction with Ho Evan's office. Makes me wonder what it's like to be a client who pays to be heard.

Terrible lawyer he was my public defender 04 I am still stuffing tremendous hardship ever since It’s been years and it’s like being paralyzed I think back to to being young+scared I remember his dead eyes and rotten breath if you toss him a coin he will transport you to hades. My friend Andrew family paid him a crazy amount of money His mom was a paralegal and worked for a far better lawyer and for some reason hired kovak they said Watching him not stand up and cross witness the people that lied against my friend and lay down like he did was the straw that broke the back and what’s worse kovak and my friends mom were close friends but not since he cleared a quick stack it was an egregious amount the truth is my friend went to prison cause this guy

Didn’t do anything we couldn’t have done on our own. He acted like he had pull with the DA in court and she put our case at the bottom of the docket. He doesn’t give a rip about helping people, namely his PAYING clients. It’s very discouraging to pay a lot of money and put your trust in someone who has no interest in actually helping you, just blowing smoke and talking up a good show in his office but when he gets in the courtroom the tail goes between the legs like a beaten dog. His lack of compassion likely cost my family a lot more than money.

Leanord is a good guy but is too caught up with his ex wife and current wife to be a trial lawyer.He doesn't have the time to be good. I was convicted of assault because he had no time or effort to prepare. First witness was lying and he allowd I tried to intervene but he told me to shut up he was waiting for husband to lie , husband comes up and lies and let's it go even though he had the facts of the police report in front of him. I was dumb founded so let down. His secrater told me I was the first person to pay because his clients are all public defender cases. So did he no prepare or did he not want to beat his employers.He was up to his eyeballs in payments to his exs and his new wife buying real estate. My life was changed permanently.
