My story is quite simple but serves as a cautionary tale for all single parents going through legal difficulties within the family law system. Five years ago, I was advised to seek mediation services as I was going through divorce proceedings. The advice I received was to be a 'nice guy', work with the other parent in order to resolve issues, create a mutually fair court order and seek child development services from third parties. But, after going down that road for many years and realizing that my father's rights were being trampled upon and outright ignored, I finally had enough and decided to seek the services of Michael Nathans. My results may be an outlier, but within 8 weeks, we had a court date, documents prepared, forms filed and everything finalized. I was able to obtain 50-50 custody of my son along with resolving many issues that had previously been ignored. We now had a signed court order that was fair and I attribute this amazing outcome solely to Michael's hard work, diligence, tremendous speed and work ethic. After availing myself of his services, I realized that I had made a mistake previously (with the other mediator). My son and I wasted many years of our lives trying to seek a fair outcome. Michael is no doubt an exceptionally brilliant and highly skilled lawyer that I have came across. The way he leads the case in the court is truly impressive. His strategy on each aspect of the case is crystal clear and his execution plan focuses on meeting all the client needs. He doesn’t leave any minute details and bring up solid arguments throughout the trial to prove his point. I do like his strategy of bringing up out of the box ideas and thinking beyond the case to find out more information which we never thought of before. He has been very much involved with us and set the right focus for us that helped us to do better prepare for the case. I don’t have any doubt that if we did not have Michael’s support we would have been very unlucky. He opened totally new dimensions for us in a marriage annulment case that he fought for us. He led the case very strongly from the beginning in an efficient, strategic and calculated manner. Michael has advised me on various personal matters over several years. His office is extremely good at taking complex and often emotional issues and resolving them in a favorable, timely and cost effective manner. Michael's fees are commensurate with the quality of service provided and a much better value than many large practices. If you really want to know what an expensive lawyer is like, try hiring a bad/cheap one! Reasons I chose Law Offices of Michael Nathans: (1) Michael is personally involved in your case - some firms outsource cases and your attorney shows up to an important trial seeing the details of your case for the first time. (2) He is rational and logical. As many famiy law matters are often emotional, I appreciated that Michael was the force for calm and solution-focused. Unfortunately, some attorneys thrive/prey on this by escalating an emotional issue, usually for good theatre, but rarely for cost effective results. (3) Michael is straightforward and diligent - the other side may be entitled to their own opinions, but not their own facts! (4) I appreciate Michael did not waste my time nor prolong my matters beyond the getting the best outcome and moving on...other lawyers often look to extend sources of fees. Given my overwhelmingly positive experience w/ Michael's office, I am skeptical the negative reviews posted here are from actual clients - more likely from opposing parties.

I hired Michael about 2 years ago, even though he is on the pricey side it was money well spent! While working with Michael it was obvious he is confident and determined to conquer each case.
