Olson Law Office Dba Olson Shaner

Reviews

I was offered a settlement amount 2 days ago and was told to call back to pay when I got paid. Now they’ve added almost $200 more and refuse to honor the settlement after just 48 hours. And of course the little girl on the phone had no idea what she was doing, kept putting me on hold for every question (I assume she had to ask someone more seasoned) and “couldn’t find the notes” about the original amount. Their communication, organization, and professionalism is severely lacking. They treat people from all positions poorly and without with respect. They seem ridiculously unorganized. Essentially they’re glorified robbers. Avoid at all costs!!!
Unethical. Liars. The lady I spoke to over the phone didn't know how to answer any of my questions. Back in May 2023, I was sent to collections and owed Olsen Shaner $2000. I told them I'd pay it within 24 hours. When I called back an hour later, they were already closed and I was told to pay online if they didn't answer. I paid the amount I owed in full. Just last week (July 1st) I had a guy show up at my home with a document saying I owe $1200!! I freaked out and called, they told me I didn't pay the amount I owed in full. I told they I wrote down the amount and paid it in full. I told them I want them to listen to the phone calls, because I know I paid the amount they told me to pay. But they wont! Nobody knows anything, and there denying everything!!
As an employer (not a debtor) who had the unfortunate circumstance of working with this company on a garnishment, I would overwhelmingly STRONGLY encourage any company/persons to seek a more ethical and professional law firm. Their communication, organization and professionalism is severely lacking. They treat people from all positions poorly and without with respect. They seem ridiculously unorganized, never communicate clearly, won't respond to voicemails, and any brief conversation that actually occurred was rude and dishonest. *EDIT* The response received from the owner has no relevance or merit to the situation I am referencing. As a consumer, please consider the plethora of negative reviews, in addition to my own.
Terrible communication that ended with money being added to my account. Refused to honor a verbal agreement we previously had. Unfortunately, they deny any accountability, leaving me with a massive bill.
Paid full settlement 100% and got a letter stating I owe $66 which is incorrect. Over 10 library books a $1000 lawsuit.
