I really felt it was a waste of time seeking services from them in my job search. The truth is, recruiters are not job hunters and do not work with the job applicants. If they tell you this...well, it's a lie! If you use their services, the recruiters will tell you they want to work with you, get you the best job, etc. All bogus. I applied for two job positions and was called into the office for an interview to discuss my skills, qualifications, etc. At the end of the interview, the recruiter told me that there were no open positions. In fact, the two positions I had applied to were not actually available at the moment. He mentioned the positions were an "off and on" thing with the client. I was very disappointed! The recruiter (it seems) continuously posts up these bogus job positions (many on Craigslist) that aren't actually true in efforts to lure in applicants for his filing cabinet, in case a client contacts him for applicants, that he would have some already available to fill the clients needs. Please do not think recruiters are to help job seekers with their job hunt. You're better off without the services of staffing agencies! If you apply for a position that they posted, make sure it's actually an "open" position. This way, even if they don't think you're qualified, at least you didn't waste your time because the position was, indeed legitimately available.

Like other posters have said they bait you into coming into their office with a job posting only to reveal that the job doesn't exist. They bring you in for an "interview" but its a HUGE waste of time.nnCasey Anderson is a recruiter here and is the biggest idiot I've ever met in my life. He has no idea what he's doing and has zero experience in recruiting. It was so absurd that I had to explain to him details of a job description.
