This campus is a perfect mix between modern and old fashioned. Some things are spaced out, but for the most part you can walk to everything. The scenery isn't amazing but it's still beautiful. We went over the weekend so it was basically a ghost town, but I imagine it's busier during the week.
A Wonderful complex spread through out the town. But everything is still close together. The stadium and main campus center provides a view into the school sports history. Facilities are excellent for viewing sports. The living quarters for students are excellent and plentiful would various interesting locations.
If you need accommodations for anything and are at a satellite campus, they'll say they can't help because you're not on the main campus. It took 4 months for them to finally accept military immunization records. If you're working with a VA rep/VR&E counselor, it can be a very painful process. I tried for months to reach abVA rep wirh no response. I have emailed all military related departments, HR, DRC, enrollment, etc This has been the most difficult and frustrating process. The only reason that I have stayed with UF is because of the academic recruiter at the Milton campus. If you have to repeat this process each semester, it may be worth looking at a different college. This has been a very emotionally and mentally draining process. To the point that I'd rather withdraw if I need to repeat these steps every time.
Had a good time with my friend walking around campus and looking at classes
We took our first tour February 2024. Recommend going on a Sunday first. If you have time to get an appreciation for all the facilities. Most of them were open and staff members that were there accommodating. Then take another trip during school hours. That will give you a much better vibe for the place. Grab a bite at the student union. Good Cuban food there. Best way to visit is on foot.
