In late 2017, I had a loaner from a dealer in Northern Virginia. I hit a deer and the vehicle sustained extensive damage which was covered by my insurance policy. The dealership demanded $7500 in diminished value for the car after it was fixed and returned to their loaner fleet. My insurance company denied the claim and I refused to pay as well, since the car was fixed. In April of 2018, I was served with a lawsuit from the dealer.
