I waited until my case was settled and I received my funds in the event of retaliation. I had an automobile accident in April of 2020 and the attorney Shayla handling my case was helpful at first. Eventually when they had all the information they needed, it seemed like they lacked the courtesy to keep me updated me for months on end. I understand it’s a long process especially for a crash settlement, but the lack of customer service was noticed. It wasn’t until earlier this year that I was contacted to sign off agreeing to settle and waited for multiple weeks on end and not hear anything back. I called twice after a month just to hear the run around that they’ll get to me when they can. The receptionist was extremely rude with me as when I called for the 2nd time and mentioned who I was, I heard a noticeable sigh to which she did not allow me to speak with someone in particular after someone from within the company recommended I’d ask to speak with said someone. Nonetheless, I was forced to almost file a case with the state bar of Texas but they suggested I try their CAAP(client-attorny assistance program) service. The fact that I had to write out a document stating that they release my funds to me and have it sent by certified mail should show you the lack of customer service this attorneys office has. I would not recommend this place and look elsewhere if you want to save yourself a headache and time.

I would give you negative stars if I could! Having a single mom wait for TWO YEARS FOR A SETTLEMENT. Just so Shayla can say her check got "lost" in the system. How are you guys going to make this right?? NO MORALS AND NO EMPATHY.TAKE THIS AS A SIGN and go elsewhere

I honestly wouldn’t recommend this law firm for anyone who has been in a car injury I have been waiting almost 2 years for my check and still have not received anything and I honestly believe that I did not get what I deserved I wasn’t even given options or updates throughout this whole process since Shayla took over my case also every time I call to ask questions about my case Shayla which is the person handling my case treats me like I’m a nuisance When I’m just trying to find out what’s going on with my case because I feel like I am not being properly informed I had absolutely no say so in the amount that I was given and me being the nice person that I am excepted it I am a single mother struggling and I do feel like my injuries impacted my ability to work and the lack of compassion or effort I see in the lady handling my case really disappoints me I just wish I could get the help that I really need and I might just have to do so

Do not trust this law office with your families estate. My mother wanted a simple Will & Trust, to avaoid complications. She was worth an estimated $500,000 when she died. Pettit encourages division between sibblings, encourages litigation, and encourages anything which creates over-billing. The Will stated 1/3rd share between three children. I ended up with $9,000 dollars, our family is no longer speaking to each other, and Pettit's fees for Probating the estate for one greedy sibbling demanding a fight for everything, and I mean everything. This is not what my mother wanted, its not what you want for your family. FIND ANOTHER ESTATE PLANNING ATTORNEY, RUN. !

Case No. 2021-03984 Estate of Betty Coleman, is my mothers Estate which Chris Pettit was trusted by my mother to handle. His office is currently bleeding my mothers Estate by encouraging division and conflict between Beneficiaries, so that his firm can continue to "OVER-BILL" my mothers Estate. The proposed Executor of the Estate stole approxiametly a half a million dollars and Pettit's office is representing the person who stole it. MY MOTHER WOULD REGRET SHE EVR TRUSTED CHRIS PETTIT IF SHE WERE ALIVE TODAY. My suggestion is that you should not trust your Estate or your family with Pettit either. A complaint with the Texas Bar Association is currently under review. I would give him a negative star if I could.
