Trusted attorney - Over the past few years, my husband and I have been using Peter as counsel for our businesses and real estate. We have also used him for any personal matters that may arise. I recently concluded a complex legal case with Peter that required thinking out of the box. I was looking for an attorney who would help me in this civil matter. I wanted someone who knew what they were doing, not afraid to try the case, not afraid to be a straight shooter and tell me the way it really was and keep me well informed. In a nutshell, I had a niece and her children living in my sister’s house (in St. Louis County). My sister was in assisted living in St. Charles County which is also where my guardianship for her was filed. She had to be moved into a nursing home so I needed to sell the house to pay for her nursing home expenses. I gave them over 60 days notice and they refused to leave in December 2020. St. Louis County was NOT evicting anyone from a residence. My legal matter with family members was going nowhere until I decided to hire him. Peter took immediate action. Some of the issues were what exactly was to be filed, where was it to be filed, did probate court have jurisdiction (probate court has complete authority over a ward of the court and their assets). Based on the facts of this case, after researching the best possible course of action, Peter filed a lawsuit in probate court. The judge who initially handled the case had never heard of this being done and Peter’s legal briefs and argument in court were nothing less than brilliant and directly on point. When I would get stuck on something, I greatly appreciated his counsel in bringing me back to reality and keeping me focused on my goal. I was always kept informed of what was going on, by emails and by phone calls. Peter was ALWAYS well prepared for court, depositions and in all aspects of the case. As a retire trial attorney, I know what to look for when evaluation an attorney's litigation skills. Peter displayed exceptional litigation skills. I truly appreciated that Peter would give me options and then tell me the plus and minus of each course of action.
