At first i was pretty excited to work with them. Friendly, understanding so i set up an arrangement. Then it got better. My credit went up since they took my item out of collections i was working/paying on. Now I feel foolish because I raved how this was instantly helping, the customer care etc. Then it got worse quick! They reported the item on my report they took off even though i am paying on it! My credit went down on all 3 sites because of this. I called the number on the paper they sent out its NOTHING but ads to meet singles and stuff. I had to actually google a new number to reach them. nI just received another message it has hit the third credit agency today. I am super upset. My credit is actually getting worse from working with them then better!! I would of been better off not taking the chance and disputing it on my credit. They told me paying it off will help me but my has gone down drastically from these reports. Very disappointed.

It's a drag having a business plan fail. It's even worse trying to deal with the fallout with debt in the wake. We almost lost our house. PRA did not hassle me. I regularly received offers to settle or pay in full. It took a few years to get back on our feet and I am happy to know I'm paying off my old debts. Thanks for giving me the space to do that.

Portfolio Recovery collectors are very professional. Have not come across anyone unprofessional. They will work with you but, if you do not setup a payment plan with an actual collector you will still receive calls. The website is to review balance and make payments online. It is very user friendly and short and sweet.
