I found April through google search in 2011, I was faced with a shocking out of left field type of drastic change in the residential placement of my son. As soon as I met her I knew she would not only provide the best legal advice and be a witty "shark" in the court-room, but that she would genuinely care about the well being of my child and myself. April did a tremendous job representing me through a 4 day trial as well as appeal, she bought the case to as near perfect resolution as possible, All while being cheerful herself and doing her best to keep me upbeat and positive through the whole year long battle. Family Law and Divorce is a terrible place to be but if you find yourself there, Know that Miss Brinkman is the best person to have by your side. I would recommend her firm to anyone seeking any sort of legal help.

Miss Brinkman caused so much heartache for me in my custody dispute. She refused to help me prepare for trial, would not tell me what questions she would even ask me, not a single one of my witnesses had been contacted by her, told me that since we would have to probably do a 2 day trial she would charge me more money even though my papers said through final trial. There were many many things that Ms. Brinkman did that were borderline if not completely unethical. At my mediation she showed up late and then tried to blame me, saying she thought I was meeting her at her office and was waiting there even though I called her assistant over and over that morning wondering where she was and her assistant admitted she had not been into the office. Ms. Brinkman took advantage of me and did not truly fight for me. She threatened that if I didn't sign papers right before trial that I did not fully agree to that I would likely be denied the bare minimum I was asking for. She never actually put forth effort to find my exes hidden assets, never helped to put a value to the business we shared for the purposes of child support, as well as other things. When Lee was her assistant he would always take the time to email me and answer all my questions which as a domestic violence survivor fighting for the safety of my children and myself with a man who while claiming he was not violent ended up having to go through a year of DV classes. After he left Ms Brinkman refused to answer anything by email and constantly patronized me telling me I had good questions but never actually helping answer them or stand up for me. As soon as the papers were signed, she resigned from the case. I would never recommend her to anyone.

To whom it may concern. As an American, working in Saudi Arabia. My wife (an Nigerian) and I, married in South Africa, I was super worried about my divorce. I had Nigerian lawyers writing all kinds of nasty letters, and that I needed to file for divorce in Nigeria or South Africa. The HEAT was on. My search for a GREAT International lawyer, began. I found April Brinkman. What a God send. April and Lee came to my aid immediately . April work through all the "stupid BS" and went right to the facts. And set things straight. Filed all the correct paper work and got things going in my direction. A great deal of tension and grief was eliminated in short order because of April and Lee. The matter was settled in a US Court. The result were most favorable for me!!! I am so happy that I found April Brinkman!!! I even bought her a PB&J sandwich and flowers.(I would had bought her a Porterhouse, but she wanted PB&J.)
