Railey and Railey, P.C.

DO NOT use them to represent you. This attorney's office will NOT communicate with you. If you weren't speeding, it doesn't matter, they won't fight it. They'll take any deal and take weeks to notify you. And if they mess up with your case, like they did with mine, they will submit an appeal that will likely result in increased fines, court costs, community service hours, etc. Ed Railey is rude, disrespectful and extremely condescending. I had a court date in May and received the letter nearly 2 months later--a week before the follow up court date. I had no time to complete the required community service or traffic school. Ed submitted an appeal which resulted in the hours being doubled and the fine nearly doubled. Since then, the court dates have been continued several times. I have asked hundreds of times for them to email me updates on my case or to email me any paperwork that comes out given the issue with my first letter. They assured me they would, but NOT ONCE did they notify me of a continuance or email me the paperwork needed. It then takes weeks to get in contact with them. My most recent court date was February 3rd and today, February 16th, Ed finally responded to my numerous emails. He mailed the courts decision to the WRONG address even though I called his office a month prior to update them of my move. We then spent 45min on the phone where he asked who my commanding officer was so he could contact them (I'm in the Army), in addition to calling me an assortment of names. I finally got him to email me the court's decision from 2 weeks ago. I have no experience with traffic attorney's, so nothing to compare them too, but I have never dealt with a more disrespectful and disingenuous individual in my life. He will certainly take the time to berate you, "well maybe you shouldn't have been speeding in the first place." I had 7 months of military training where I couldn't do community service due to COVID restrictions, but he still said, "maybe if I put in effort and got the hours done, we wouldn't be here." If I had the money to hire another attorney, I would have months ago.
Unfortunately my experiences with Railey and Railey has been anything but professional. I was given a "wreckless driving" ticket for speeding in the state if Virginia back in Feb. I received mail from their office and decided to have them represent me for this case. I was told it would 500 dollars, after my initial court appearance I was told to complete 30 hours of community service, and 12 hours of a driving course through VASAP. Anne who works in their office instructed me to do an online course not recommended by the VASAP but not to worry because they deal with VASAP all the time and it won't be an issue, plus it was cheaper. I trusted her because again, I am paying them to guide me through this process. Well it turns out that VASAP did not accept my certificate from this 3rd party and is requiring that I pay for their course which is another 100 dollars. When I tried to get answers from the Raily office all I got was a bunch of run around and "I'll call you back". I was told I would get reimbursed 100 dollars for the class and Anne told me she mailed it out 2 weeks ago, but I still have not received anything. Also I have to pay 500 dollars in court fees because of all the appearances, appearances that would not have been necessary had they not misguided me in the first place. Completely unprofessional.
I am not sure How people are rating them 4-5, they really don't deserve a good rating. I am not sure if people for have good experience with them, but they don't answer phone calls, they don't reply to emails after they ask you to pay on the phone(which never is a good experience), after all they don't even send your payment confirmation evidence even if you asked them like 100 times. I wish there was a zero or -ve rating option!!! I wish I could represent myself or pay what even fine I got,
Having worked with Edward Railey for several years as his website and marketing vendor I knew he was good at what he does, especially with Traffic cases. When I received an unfair trial in Suffolk and exercised my right to appeal I decided to flip the script and utilize Railey & Railey's legal services. Not only did Edward get the bogus charges dismissed but I was literally in and out before I could even take a seat. Quick, easy, and painless.
Very professional. I got a ticket for speeding using a moving Radar for 13 over the speed limit. I know there was a problem as i was not going that fast...it was either the problem with moving radar machine or something was wrong. Mr Railey represented my case and the case was adjudicated for defective speedometer . I got no points and no moving violation. I will highly recommend services of Mr Railey and Railey for any traffic tickets. They really know what they are doing. You won't be disappointed. Thanks Railey team for helping my case.
