Was homeless at the time I was being sent notices for a debt I owed. This company contacted me at my job and spoke to me in a rude/impersonal manner. The associate was very short and had no legit explanation for why he was contacting me at work despite the law saying this was illegal. I ended up paying the settlement which was asked within two weeks without an issue on my side. Was told this company at the time had an F rating with the BBB I wasn’t surprised at all. I was told I likely would have won if I took this matter to court but I decided to pay and try and forget about it. I sympathize with lawyers and firms in regards to how aggressive you must be and how difficult it is to close cases, but not when they violate my privacy and the law. I’m happy to voice my opinion in how horribly managed this situation was and I’m surprised this company is still around almost a decade later. Next time you want to break the law and contact me at work, be pleasant because I would not have minded three breaking of the rules as much as I did this go around.
