I had a horrific experience with Dr. Martin Hegewald at the Copper Ridge surgery center. They didn’t use enough medication to make me comfortable, which is my right as a patient. He started ramming his instrument and making loud grunting sounds as well as some choice words. I told him to stop making the noises but he didn’t. The nurses didn’t try to help. Someone came in the room and crankily asked how long he was going to be he said “ I hope 20 minutes but THIS ONE has a long colon. After he kept up the behavior, I told him I was going to have to leave. I felt so violated. Coincidentally, right at that moment, he said he was done. I left with no pictures like they promised me. I got a nasty letter from Gayle at the surgery center along with one picture. I called the surgery center to talk about it. I first got the team lead, she passed me around to GAYLE. She should just be operating the chairlift at the local ski spot. The whole situation was horrific. I still have nightmares. Dr. Hegewald said he was going to apologize. That’s all I wanted. He called 4 hours earlier than the time we set. I was working. I called at the correct time and left a message. This was about 3 months ago. I’m sorry he chose this profession. I will never forget my experience.

Dr Barnes is a skilled and compassionate physician. His bedside manner is apathetic. Very thorough with screenings, and necessary treatment. I'd recommend Dr. Barnes, 10 out of 10 whose looking for a competent Gastroenterologist.

Dr. Barnes was the ONLY doctor who found my cancer. I have the up most respect for him. He listens to you and gets to the bottom of your problem. I will always be grateful.

Excellent Dr! He was great with my dad and mom. Very thorough and extremely knowledgeable in his field.

Took me 6 months to finally get an appointment and it was virtual. They also rarely answer the phone. I don't usually get easily frustrated but this place is doing it.
