I will keep this simple. My family and I re located from the east coast, and needed a home until we purchased one. We didn't anticipate our east coast home selling so fast, but it did. Because of this we were short on time. I found a house for rent in Davenport, and decided on it because of our short time frame and urgency. My husband did not see the home until we moved in. On our move in date, my husband noticed 3 hazardous issues and bought it to my attention. We sent an email to Ruhl & Ruhl property manager not less than 4 days after our move in with the issues we found. We didn't receive a direct resolution until days later after we requested three times to terminate our lease. We stayed in the home literally a total of 10 days before we moved out. A few days we stayed at a hotel. However in good faith we did not argue our August's full rental payment that was paid in advance, and moved out before August 1. Since then the property manager Lori Shafer has sent numerous contradicting and ignorant emails about the lease termination, to now wanting rental payment until they rent the home. If it's a good home, why so hard to rent? Because it isn't. This home is located in Davenport and has obvious water damage and accumulation in the "family room", beetle infestation and to top it off they left a 3 foot by 2 foot crawl space opened not concerned with the safety of our children. It has also tested positive for HIGH LEVELS of Radon. I know from some of the beautiful homes sold by Ruhl & Ruhl that this issue I had with Ruhl & Ruhl, is moreso a management Issue, and false advertisement on the owner's part. I would not recommend this location to anyone.

Great help and support for finding a place. We were coming from Korea and they helped us with a video walk through. I highly encourage you if you are looking for a rental and especially if you are military to go with them.
