Painful to get some claims covered and to stay eligible because of tge paperwork and holding payments until the day before it goes to collections.
Through a family members employer myself, my spouse and our family receive our medical insurance through this company. At first we were thrilled because the insurance is a well known, highly respected company, but as time has passed its been a nightmare. The coverages suck! They don't always honor or respect your request when it comes to yr information if your not the primary policy holder/employee. Through my experience it seems like they work against you when it comes to approving certain treatments and or medications, like instead of helping prevent something from getting worse they'll approve some medications but not the ones that will benefit you the most and that your Doctor perscribed. Treatments that could benefit you especially long term...nahhh you just continue taking a ridiculous amount of medication we'll pay for that. And when you call they are quick to direct you to the web-site. Hey what about you answer my questions and or concern, how about that. I am grateful for having insurance for myself and my family just wished it didn't come with so many restrictions.
They do not return phone calls. They put you on hold while you are still speaking. They talk over you. Everything is always in the mail yet it never comes. If you get to speak your questions do not get answered. There is always an excuse or they blame their supervisor.
The worst I been dealing with this people for 4 months trying to resolve why they don’t want to cover anything. My daughter broke her arm I filled the forms they keep sending them back because they where not filled “correctly” I talked to a representative over an unpaid billed due to using my chiropractor benefit and he said no one goes to the chiropractor just because and the form is filled incorrectly. I asked for an appointment to fill the forms correctly to there expectations and when the day came I waited on the phone for 30 an hour and they never connected union not strong. No help at all and now I’m in collections thanks to them.
This place is a joke!!!! They never answer the phone, they never call you back when they say they will. The lady that answers the phone every once in a blue moon is the rudest person I've ever dealt with in my whole life. Sad part is that it wasn't like this years ago! I wish us members could choose our own insurance!!!! This place is the worst place I've ever had to do business with!!!!!
