I was hired as a paralegal out of college at the Driscoll Firm’s Raleigh North Carolina location from October to November 2023. While the pay was great at $22 an hour to start for me, it wasn’t worth it. Management is terrible and paralegals are overworked at literally hundreds of clients assigned per worker. Client information was rarely updated, sometimes months behind, incorrect addresses, out of service phone numbers, and even a few clients whose files I helped with who didn’t even have properly signed retainers from months before I started (somebody who claimed to be their personal representative that we didn’t have record of had signed, for example). Clients sometimes weren’t able to be reached for months and some didn’t even remember being with the Driscoll Firm. As an employee, it felt like everything was an issue with supervisors. They advertise two 15-minute breaks, and yet, it’s somehow an issue if you take one of them. I use a screen reader due to blindness and overheard the supervisor saying it looked like I was “doing nothing” on my screen when the voiceover was reading a paragraph from a document to me, and that’s not even the worst. I filled out a leave request slip for a planned trip a month in advance. I wasn’t expecting to hear back right away and since I was fairly new, I knew there was a good chance it could be rejected, but I filled one out just in case. A week before being fired, I was in and out of the hospital for a week with sudden uncontrollable muscle convulsions and constant twitching. I was later diagnosed with a brain disorder called Conversion Disorder and had been updating the staff on this condition and my treatment plan, when I would be returning, etc. I had returned the following Monday and, while they told me to keep them updated, and that they would get back to me about the leave request that week, I was immediately fired due to “poor performance” instead as soon as I arrived. The supervisor told me to call my ride to come back and get me and said I had to leave soon because she already had a new person to train. I was dismissed immediately. They have little intention of keeping most employees and firings are very frequent. It seems my hospital stay and new diagnosis was the moment they decided to let me go. I would not recommend this firm for prospecting employees or potential clients.

I normally don't do reviews but I truly felt that I need to in this case. I was a client of The Driscoll Firm and it took well what felt like forever. There was a lot of back and forth and just when you think you are getting somewhere there was a bump. Always seemed to be something. Always! I wish I had more patience with them and I did a lot of apologizing bc it truly felt like I was getting played. I personally had an issue at the very end that no one had ever had to deal with and it was gut wrench to say the least. However it was absolutely no fault on the Driscoll firm at all. It was my bank. Throughout this entire ordeal Jesse, members of his staff and members of the fund issuing bank as well as many others helped me so much..to the best of their ability. Mostly even though all of our hands were completely tied he listened to me cry my eyes out day after day. Spent over a hundred hours on hold between us all, after work hours, calls upon calls, you name it he was there. He tried his heart out to help me. Checked in with me to see how I was doing and he didn't have to..I'll be the first to tell you I felt like I was getting played bc of all the mess that was going on and really thought this wasn't going to come through but I will be the first to give someone a recommendation, pat on the back, you name it when credit is due. Trust him. Trust them and be patient. It SUCKS bc you just want your money but I am here to tell you this firm will stand by you and help you as best as they can. Jesse needs a vacation after dealing with my issue, again NOTHING to do with them it was MY bank but that right there was enough to send us all over the edge. I can't thank him enough for his support and help through this entire situation. Stephanie H -NC

Today feeling quite depressed I called this law firm and didn’t get to the person I called at first .. so I was told I would be called back. I figured oh well ok, I’ll probably be calling them first again. My phone rang shortly after the thoughts and it was a person that wanted to engage with me about my case from the Driscoll Law Firm. I thought this got to be a joke because out of 2 years this has been the first time someone stopped, took time and talked to me in laymen’s term or any terms.. but I decided to keep calling. Today I met Mario from the Driscoll Law Firm, he was soooo very comforting and informative. We both spoke of terrible phone experiences and we appreciated the presence of kindness on each end. I was in tears of happiness from the Kindness of this Gentleman. Thank you Jesus .. there is still some kindness in this World.

I’m so confused as to how all of a sudden this firm is getting any good reviews. I’ve been waiting for years for my settlement. The staff is rude most of the time. You will be lucky if you get an update every 3 months . Usually the updates are a generic email copied and pasted . The firm will blame multiple third party companies for the holdup as to why you haven’t been paid. Please consider other lawyers before using this form.

Thank you Jesse but I am very disappointed when I received my check today 7/2:2022. . I finally got my check and this firm took $30 from a $50k settlement. There’s nothing in the awarded agreement that said the attorney’s fees would be taken out of the check. Just imagine them doing all the claimants who was awarded $50 and they took $30k from us. Then the attorney’s office withholding money for what when it shows a Medicare/Medicaid deduction. Why wasn’t the fees taken from the total Amount that was awarded for the class action lawsuit. I am very disappointed. This firm is a scam and I would not recommend this company to any one. I need answer.
