Allison missed a brief deadline which got my case dismissed by the court of appeals. She doesn't realize the damage she has done to me and my family. Please be aware she has done this in several other cases. She takes on too many cases and cannot remain focused on just 1 case. She's constantly in a hurry, she forgets, she has blamed me for her mental state, she does make excuses for everything she does/has done. I cannot tell you how painfully excruciating this process has been. She wants others to feel sympathetic for her. Especially me because she knows I'm vulnerable. She also told me that I'd leave her a bad review?? Yes I will. Why wouldn't I? She has committed malpractice and was negligent. Please do not hire her. Beware! She claims she can do all these things and never follows through. So much chaos/drama. I've never had such a bad experience with an attorney especially one who blames me for her emotions. And yes a bar complaint may have to get filed. I got blindsided. ???????? UPDATE: AS OF JUNE 21 2023 Ms Kort is on an interim suspension! There were 5 cases she has failed to file timely briefs on and one of those was mine. Her Disciplinary hearing is 12/13/2023 and I will be there! I wish I could sue her for pain and suffering! ???????????? update: December 2023: she got away with probation. But I am not done ruining her reputation just quite yet. If I have my way, I'll make sure people stay away from hiring her. Every lawyer I've talked to since this has happened is aware of what she's done. They're watching this case like a hawk. And so far that's been almost every attorney in Clay County mo that I've spread the word to. It'll be plastered in the entire state when I'm done with this. You ruined what could have been a good outcome for me and my son!!!!
