The Law Office Of Frank Chelly, Pllc

I THANK GOD FOR PENNINGTON BRIENZI LAW FIRM! Chelly Pennington and Kim Pullen did an amazing job with getting my divorce situated as well as custody arrangements and child support for my children. Everything went well. Any questions I had were answered in a timely fashion. I was able to be hands on while they looked out for my wellbeing (and my pockets) as well! I GREATLY appreciated that. These ladies are hard working people and I HIGHLY recommend them for any needs concerning family for sure!
We did a Power of Attorney. I didn't know it could be this painless. Chelly explained everything to us every step of the way. I'm sure she does tons of these and has to explain it all the time, but she was very patient, answered all my questions, and it was an excellent value for money! Great experience! Plus they're in a really cool historic building.
Would not recommend if you’re looking for someone proactive, solution-based, who does what they say they are going to do & truly advocates on your behalf. Communication was subpar— I normally got a response within a few days but hardly any updates, without asking. My attorney went into a panic after a court hearing turned mistrial, said that she did not want to go back to that county & I would have to get another attorney from the office. The office said that it was okay for her to continue representing me, I was not notified of the new court date & there was a dismissal b/c we were not there. This caused me to have to re-file. I had a unique situation & I’m not sure that she was confident with handling my case or invested. Because of my unique situation, I needed someone with more experience, knowledge of the laws & not intimated by the other side’s counsel. After terminating my relationship with this firm (after 4 months), I was able to speak with another firm that made me realize that I should have shopped around for an attorney. I received more guidance from a well known attorney (while shopping around for a new one) on how to proceed. She took the time to thoroughly listen, explain & walk me through my concerns. I was able to get my matter resolved almost immediately after.
5 of 5 stars is NOT a high enough score for Chelly!! She was phenomenal ! from moment one in settling a dispute over alimony. I was happy with the result. I was so impressed with how responsible she was with helping me save $$ during this process in terms stretching her atty fee as far as possible…. and she kept the billing to an absolute minimum. She knows her stuff and how to get it done with opposing council. I think they are afraid of her! but she took good care of me through this process and I highly recommend her, especially to help the good women out there who have been dealt a bad season.
I did not have a good experience with this firm. I chose an Associate Atorney, I retained her after having a call… and then never heard from. When I reached out twice asking status I was told they are working on a emergency case regarding a father taking his children out of the country.. wait, how is that my problem, why are they telling me about other case details and can they not work on more than 1 case at a time? I asked how to use the portal by phone one day and the admin literally told me she doesn’t know, then I was charged for that phone call asking how to use their system. I then received a call saying I have a new lawyer, wait what?!? At this point I should have just been done. This associate did not pay attention to detail, mistakes were made over and over, I was charged over and over for their mistakes, they did not bother to look at my paperwork in their system instead they would email me asking a question and bill me when it was right there in my paperwork on their portal. Needless to say it was exhausting, a lot of money was spent and nothing was solved. I would not recommend them nor would I ever use them again.
