Don’t get me wrong we love the style of our house but the workmanship in some areas left a lot to be desired. I’m pretty sure the windows are 2nds. Brand new windows don’t have caulking dripping out. The stucco was supposed to be a big selling point because the paint was mixed in. Don’t ever get this. Can’t match the paint. Also the stucco was full of crack. When confronting Brent McCaffree all he said stucco cracks and yes it does but 30 cracks? Zone heating and cooling was a big selling point too. If you want your heater and AC to never to shut off then go with zone. It’s a waste of money as is the fresh air system. Winter time it bring in the smell of wood burning fireplaces and cold air. Since my AC guy disconnected it my heater and AC bills are down. They also put in a tile backsplash when it should have been granite. The housing market was down and I’m sure they cut s lot of corners.

My family and I traveled from Fresno to Madera Ranchos to view the homes with 5 mins left to spare until closing at 6pm. As soon as we walk up to the doors, a woman who works for McCaffrey stands at the door and says they are closed. We asked if we could just see one home, and she just said no. BAD BUSINESS. I run my own business, and No Way would I turn someone away. Especially when we are not closed yet. I personally would be furious if I had an employee who treated potential customers this way. McCaffrey might want to reevaluate their employees.

My experience with McCaffrey Homes was extremely negative. I would never support the owner of this business. He is self centered and greedy. He has a beautiful garden built beside his business on the corner of Herndon & Van Ness Blvds in Fresno. I went there Saturday the 21st to see if we could go into the garden and take some family pictures by his huge beautiful Christmas tree he has on the lawn. We asked the security guard if we could and he said he thought is would probably be ok but wanted to ask someone inside the building. A very pleasant younger woman came out and said that it was ok. We assured her that we would be respectful and not damage anything and thanked her for her hospitality. We were there for about 10 minutes when the security guard came out, apologized, and told us that owner said we were going to have to leave because it was private property. Wow Mr. McCaffrey, or should I refer to you as Mr. Scrooge, do you reserve your hospitality for only those who throw amazingly large piles of money at you to buy your homes? Is that the audience that you erect that huge beautiful Christmas tree for? I guess you probably are one of those who should call it a "Holiday Tree" because you have truly missed the meaning of Christmas. This story ends happily because we loaded back into our cars and traveled a couple of blocks down the street to the Bonedelle Homes office and took some beautiful pictures on their beautifully groomed grounds.
