Nothing you do as a business really matters if your front desk/reception staff is rude to your customers every opportunity she gets. I've been getting my taxes done here for four years, I've had almost all positive experiences with Amanda who prepared my taxes for those years. This year she did make a mistake, but she also addressed it promptly and told me that they would refund me the penalties and interest incurred because of it. I recognize my taxes are difficult because I travel for work and often work in several states and tax laws vary by the state. One mistake would not have caused me to cut ties with this business, but the receptionist Elaine is consistently extremely rude and indifferent to the needs of customers. I have had to call the office three times in the last week regarding the tax problem I had, how we needed to solve it, and picking up the refund for the penalties. On each occasion she was unfriendly from the moment she answered the phone and made it clear I was bothering her by calling. She is unwilling to contact staff of your behalf, saying "they will see your email when they see it". When you ask her a question she replies with things like "I have no idea" and leaves it at that. She has no desire to help you get in contact with your tax preparer or manager that you need to speak to you to solve your problem or facilitate meeting your needs as her customer in any way. I just picked up my refund check and she wouldn't say a single word to me, did not even ask my name before handing me this check. It's embarrassing behavior for a representative of a business. She's an obstacle standing in the way of dealing with this business.

Do not waste your time with Adam's & Associates because the owner will not waste his time to discuss their customer's concerns regarding their service. They do not return customers calls or keep customers informed about their return should there be an issues. Adam's & Associates had an issue efiling my return so instead of letting us know, they just sat on the return paperwork for 6 weeks until I called. I just happened to call TODAY with concerns letting them know had not receiving my refund (it probably would have been long if I hadn't call them back on one of their many non-returned calls) To my surprise I found out on the call today that they had an issue when trying to e-file my return, 6 weeks ago. They informed today that is "my responsibility" to file. When were they going to let me know?? I just hope I not to late.

We have used them for years and have always been very happy. Last year our tax preparer was out sick the day of our appointment and we ended up going to HR Block and payed three times as much and spent two hours trying to get them done. I will never go anywhere but Adams and Associates again.

Very unhappy with dealings with Adams & Associates. My son used this concern for his taxes last year and I called to make his appointment for this year. I spoke to a woman named Brenda who said they could do it for $140.00 the same as last year. When my son had his appointment they charged him $170.00. I told him I was told by Brenda that they would do it for $140.00 same as last year. I called in to discuss and the woman I spoke with was somewhat argumentative with me. Her approach was far from professional. She did agree to have Brenda call me to discuss the matter further. Brenda just called and totally denied having told me she had said they would do it for $140.00. I would have felt better had she said I made a mistake but she flat our denied that we had the conversation on price. I will dispute the $30.00 difference with this outfit and rest assured my son will be going elsewhere next year. A mistake is one thing, a lie is another. These people are not operating in an ethical manner.

When I moved to Pittsburgh I had these folks do my taxes. They were overpriced, so I went back to TaxAct (free online) the following year. Turns out Adams & Assoc. had done my taxes INCORRECTLY and I had to file corrected tax forms. I called and explained the error, but they were not interested. In fact, the man I spoke to was rather rude. No offer to do my taxes next year free or to refund me even a portion of the $100+ I had paid even though I had to refile tax forms. Each year I get a form letter asking why I didn't have my taxes done there last year. This year's letter said I had a $30 credit to come back, but the paper money was stamped $20. Great math for an accounting shop... I asked to be removed from their mailing list long ago, but they have yet to honor my request. Save your money and don't risk the errors or the attitude.
