My son was assigned a court appointed attorney that not only did NOTHING to fight for my son, but he told me there was nothing he could do for my son who was facing three felonies. I called Mr. Turnbull, and in less than three days, he talked to the district attorney and had all three felonies DISMISSED. My son had been picked up in Arizona because there was a warrant out in another state (Montgomery County, Texas). He was sitting in jail waiting on Montgomery to come and get him because he had left the state (even though he had permission to leave the state through Denton County). My son's court appointed attorney told me he needed to stay in jail and wait for Montgomery to come and get him, and that he would probably face jail time because there was nothing he (the court appointed attorney) could do to help him. I decided to check around and find someone who would actually TRY to do something for my son's situation. Mr. Turnball was the second phone call I made. Not only did he take over 30 minutes to explain to me the ins and outs of the court system (because I am not familiar with it), but he ended the conversation probably thinking I would not call back. I did call back. Mr. Turnball was worth EVERY PENNY. My son was out of jail in 72 hours (the court appointed attorney said that wasn't even possible) AND he had ALL THREE FELONIES DISMISSED. Unbelievable. He was kind, patient, and actually cared. He worked for my son. I feel VERY bad for people that can't afford an attorney and are stuck with a court-appointed that don't do ANYTHING for their clients. I would recommend him 100x over again for any criminal charge. FAST AND EFFICIENT.

Ned Turnbull represented me in a civil matter. Ned was experienced, professional, honest and surprisingly, very supportive throughout the entire ordeal. He took the time to meet with me to explain in detail all the charges and motions, making sure that I understood the implications of the charges and his reasoning for his suggested course of actions. He made sure to research all the caselaw and statutes regarding my case and was truthful in the potential outcomes that I faced. My case was a difficult case that took close to two years to resolve, yet he and his staff were empathetic to the tolling nature of having a pending case and were there to assure me that I was in good hands. Ned was always upfront about all of the developments in my case, whether to my favor or not. Despite some setbacks in my case, he never gave up and instead worked tirelessly to negotiate a better outcome for me. He made sure to challenge the admissibility of the evidence and the plaintiff’s briefs, backing up his assertions with caselaw and motions. When one tactic did not work out, he would present me with alternatives, advising me which one he felt would work best without making me feel pressured to make a choice I did not feel comfortable taking. By the end of what seemed like a never-ending ordeal, through his meticulous research and preparation, he negotiated a favorable outcome for me. I really felt that Ned believed in me and my case and was impassioned to see justice prevail, as if it was his own case.

I retained Mr. Turnbull based on the recommendation of a mutual acquaintance. I had already hired another lawyer but that attorney turned out to be downright incompetent, to the point of possibly hurting my case. When you are faced with a serious legal matter, it is not the time to bargain shop. The old adage of “you get what you pay for” becomes clear. Quality representation comes with a price, but it far outweighs the cost of the ramifications of having an attorney that does not take the time to learn about your case and who makes shady deals with opposing counsel in the hallway to the courtroom in order to wrap up your case quickly so he can make out like a bandit with your retainer. You really need an attorney that not only has the legal expertise, integrity, and skill level required, but who also has the necessary support staff to properly handle your case. The difference between Mr. Turnbull’s office and my former (inept & over his head) attorney was like night and day! Mr. Turnbull and his associates met with me to provide me with an overview of my case, reviewing with me the strengths and weaknesses without sugarcoating anything, nor promising outcomes that were not feasible. From there on, I was provided with a clear plan of action, detailing exactly how Mr. Turnbull was going to proceed with my case. His legal assistant Gina always returned my phone calls and kept me apprised of any new developments with my case. I never felt blindsided by any rescheduled court appointments and Gina was always available to answer any last-minute questions I had. Having a legal matter is a source of great stress and frustration but having an attorney that is experienced and competent allows you to navigate the legal system without losing your sanity. I was most impressed, however, with Mr. Turnbull’s litigation skills in the courtroom. Prepared with binders full of case law research pertaining to my legal issue, Mr. Turnbull knew the technical issues of my case inside and out. The briefs and motions presented to the court were well-researched and well-written. Despite the anxiety of having to be in court, I felt at ease with two skilled litigators at my table. While still being courteous and professional, a reprimand (or several) from the Judge did not prevent Mr. Turnbull from persisting in pressing an issue that was crucial to my case. Had it not been such a serious matter, it would have even been entertaining to watch Mr. Turnbull mop the floor with the opposing counsel, who was nowhere near his caliber of litigating. He had the confidence, knowledge, and experience to zealously represent me. Most importantly, he was PREPARED and no matter how dismal the outcome may seem, the key to a successful representation is a lawyer’s preparation. Due to his assiduous preparation of my case, he was able to negotiate a very hard-to-obtain resolution to my case. I was very satisfied with his legal services and how he handled my case.
