A little background. I am a baby boomer raised by parents of what is commonly considered The Greatest Generation, and I grew up with those values. During my lifetime I've had occasion to work with two lawyers. I didn't write reviews for either of them, but if I had, I would have given them negative numbers if possible. So when I recently needed to hire an attorney for some legal work, I shopped around. The first two I spoke with on the phone left me very unimpressed, then just by luck I called the Vail Law Offices. After speaking with Rob Vail on the phone, I made an appointment to meet at his office. His receptionist was friendly and courteous. Rob was also friendly, attentive and great about answering all my questions. Based on price, knowledge, expediency, professionalism and likeability, I would award Rob Vail an A+ or in this case a 5+. I would definitely recommend him to any friend needing legal counsel.

I worked with Rob on some post divorce concerns and issues. Rob was very knowledgeable of the laws in Idaho. He had great insights from his past and ongoing experience. My wife and I used Rob for mediation for a divorce. From the start Rob took great care to explain the process in detail and helped us each through stalls in negotiations by explaining what the court would likely do in the situation. Rob is a very honest, humble and kind person with a gift and great skills for bringing parties with opposing interests together. Once we had things worked out with asset division and a parenting plan he shared what information he could to allow us to file with the court and complete our own dissolution. His ability to navigate us through this process saved us much of the pain, time and costs normally associated with divorce attorneys, court fees and waiting times. We were able to get through what would have been a complex divorce and taken a year or more in a matter of just a few months and at less than 5% of the cost if we had both "Lawyered Up" like most people do. Of course, both parties have to be willing to work it out for mediation to work. I am so grateful that we found and chose to use Rob. He is an excellent mediator and I am sure personal attorney as well if you need representation for your family law needs.
