We were verbally quoted a worst case scenario of 8 hours labor at 180.00 per hour just to fit a stainless hood exhaust insert into a custom copper hood that we had made elsewhere. We were working on a limited time frame so we agreed to what we thought was an outrageous price and when we came to pick up the hood it was DOUBLE the quote at 16 hours of labor at 180/hr.Then to add insult to injury we then had the receptionist call the owner who was at home that originally quoted the worst case scenario to explain this and he had the audacity to lie and claim he had quoted us 16 hours AT 200.00 /HR and that he was giving us a break at 180/hr.! This makes no sense since he obviously quoted us 180/hr ( otherwise how did we know that was what the labor was going to be in the end )so he must have also quoted the 8 hours. Would have been better if he had just apologized instead of lying and came up with a compromise amount. Don’t do business with unscrupulous people.

Friendly people but communication is lacking. Waited several days for promised return phone calls that never came.

Was picking up material, called in advance for a quote. Went to pick up material and got charged over $3 per foot more than I was quoted. They couldn't do anything about it. DONT CALL FOR QUOTE.

Best selection of steel in town. Wonderful staff. Very helpful. Good $. Been in the business since 1901. Must be doing something right.
