Our HOA has used Mr. Winton's law firm to place & remove liens. He has written letters to recalcitrant home owners. We find his fees to be reasonable. In most cases the home owner eventually paid.

Mr. Winton was the only attorney listed for HOA attorneys in the area. I guess he has a monopoly, knows it, and takes advantage of HOAs who are starting up, or are in the process of making changes. He overspent our budget, accomplished very little of what he promised to (based on our budget), and generally took advantage of the feeble minds seeking his expertise. If you have ANY other option, use someone else. If you have no other option, get him to sign a legal document, drafted by a third party, stating all that he WILL accomplish for your HOA, based on your budget.
