About eighteen to twenty-four months ago, I fell victim to a scam there-in losing all the money I had in the world. I'm a happy Old Maid taking care of my business on my own all my life, but into my 70s I'm still learning that at times even I need to ask for help. Enter Margaret and Ms. Breedlove from Walton Legal Services. I felt relief pretty much after my first visit. Both ladies are very kind, friendly and helpful. My first meeting with Carrie ended in some tear-jerking on my part, but she was very supportive and told me not to fret. Needless to say, with filing for bankruptcy my funds were very low, but Carrie assured me just to continue with my payments and they would be in my corner. They certainly were!! Seemed like another lifetime, but I finally was able to retain Carrie and along the way Margaret was right there to tell me how I was doing, what my balance was and continued to extend support. I always have lots of questions and if it wasn't a "Columbus" office day, I'd call the Indianapolis office and Margaret graciously explained her answers to my questions. Sometimes she needed to go through explanations a couple times, but step by step and patiently I would finally understand the answers. This entire experience was difficult for me cause I never thought in my early seventies I'd be filing for bankruptcy, but both Carrie and Margaret made everything seamless. This office was supportive and patient in my slow payments, VERY helpful with all my questions big & small; and they got me through another chapter in my life. I was nervous about the final "court" interview, but Carrie was right there with me explaining what would occur and we sailed right through it. I can't thank Walton Legal Services, specifically Carrie and Margaret, enough for making this entire scenario actually easy for me. If you ever find yourself in a deep financial hole as I did, no matter how you arrived at that point, don't be afraid to ask for assistance. That's number one. I was referred to Walton legal services when I got there I was really lost they explained everything to me it was easy I turned in all my documents and I waited and didn't take that long it was awesome the staff is awesome Got my Certificate in the mail as I was told and I feel a sense of believe that's fine now I'm making better decisions in my future going forward Walton legal thank you so much you guys were amazing.
