Weitz Law Firm

Reviews

This firm was being represented at a community event in New York City to celebrate those with disabilities. There was one attorney sitting down, manning a booth who spoke to me in a deplorable manner. nnI explained to him I'm a member of the community interested in disability law, looking to learn more about the services the firm offers. He wouldn't look up at me to address my questions. I was only worth his index finger while he stayed head in his phone. "I'm working." he uttered. As I waited he looks up and tells me, "You can come back in 20 minutes because I'm working."nnWhen I circled back to the booth to try to engage in conversation regarding how to get involved he again looked away from me, and said "I can't talk to you." nnPuzzled, I told him, "Sir you're being very rude to me." He then exclaims how his firm is paying $2,000 to be at this event and he can't talk to me (giving me a shooing motion with his hands) because he needs to be free to talk to "them." (I have to assume he meant those with a visible disability)nnBased on this interaction and how belittling this attorney spoke to me, I have very little faith this law firm operates under principles that put the interest of those who have disabilities first. nnConsidering his conversation with me, I have to assume that to him (and possibly the rest of this firm), people with disabilities equate to dollar signs.
