I want to be careful in how I share my experience, as my primary focus is the outcome of my nephews’ personal injury case. Most importantly, Matt Yelverton was able to secure a settlement for my nephews in their wrongful injury case, and for that, I am grateful. However, I was extremely dissatisfied with how Mr. Yelverton and his paralegal handled the case over the five years it took to reach that outcome. Matt Yelverton is a personal injury attorney, and unfortunately, my experience with him and his firm reflected many of the negative stereotypes associated with PI lawyers. His firm contacted me just two days after my sister and her boyfriend were tragically killed in a car accident in South Carolina. My two young nephews, who were in the backseat, were also badly injured. As my sister’s only next of kin, I was approached by multiple personal injury attorneys. Initially, I chose Mr. Yelverton because I felt our first conversation was positive and that there was a legitimate path to seeking justice for my sister and my nephews. Over the next five years, however, I found Mr. Yelverton and his team to be unresponsive, condescending, flippant, and dismissive. They showed little interest in my family’s loss or the purpose behind our case. The process was never properly explained, and I was frequently left in the dark about case developments. My inquiries often went unanswered, leaving me to wonder what was happening and whether my nephews’ best interests were truly being prioritized. As the case reached its final stages and a settlement was being finalized, I reached out to Mr. Yelverton directly to express my concerns about his professionalism and lack of communication throughout the case. I even referenced previous emails in which I had voiced my frustrations and mentioned that I considered filing complaints in an effort to get a response from his team. I requested a small percentage reduction in his retainer fee, considering that the settlement was going into a trust for my orphaned nephews, who lost both of their parents in the tragic accident. His response was nothing short of disturbing—he subtly threatened that if I was unhappy and wished to file a disciplinary complaint, he would withhold my nephews’ settlement money until the complaint was resolved. At that moment, I had no choice but to respond with a polite email, requesting that we simply proceed as planned. My only concern was ensuring my nephews could finally have some closure and receive what little financial support this case provided. This was my experience with Matt Yelverton and Yelverton Litigators. In hindsight, I can’t help but wonder if a more compassionate and engaged attorney—one who genuinely cared about my nephews’ future—could have secured a larger and more just settlement.

Do not...I repeat DO NOT utilize the services of Yelverton Law Firm. My case was settled over a month ago where a drunk driver ran in to me resulting in injury and surgery. Case settled a month ago and I have YET to receive my settlement check. For the first three weeks I was given the run around by Samantha Sutton and Ashley Benoist. After three weeks I tried to contact Matthew Yelverton to no avail but mysteriously received a call from Ashley Benoist telling me my check was in the mail. I have not received the check and can no longer get anyone on the phone or to respond to an email. A shame that I have to take legal action against a law firm hired to represent me. Deplorable business practices...stay far away from Yelverton Law Firm.

Matt is amazing! He is very knowledgeable and took the time to explain each step of my lawsuit to me any time I had questions. Beth was always available to answer my many emails and was such a joy to work with! Hopefully there will be no more wrecks for me but I will always refer anyone I know to Yelverton Litigators. My family will forever be grateful for Matt’s dedication to his profession!

My husband and I really enjoyed working with this law firm. I do recommend them to anyone who need their service. They showed their concern and passion for all we been threw in the past with our car accident. The Green law firm was was originally handling the case. Which turned out to be a bad experience. But it was turned over to Yelverton Law firm. Who really did a good job making sure we were up to date on our case. That means a lot. We will tell our friends and family about the wonderful service we received. And thank you for caring.

I had Yelverton Law Firm LLC handle a divorce case for myself. I was surprised at how smoothly and quickly they took care of it. Matt and Beth did a great job.
