Alvin I. Gilmore

I've known Al for a few decades and have always been more than satisfied with his efforts on our behalf. We won some and lost some but Al and his staff were always responsive and efficient.

If you're looking for a collection attorney that has your or your companies best interest in mind I would not use Alvin Gilmore. I first spoke to Alvin Gilmore last year regarding a collection file that Alside (Associated Materials) had against our company for approximately eight thousand dollars. nOur company had purchased millions of dollars worth of products from Alside and we had a good relationship for many years. But a few years ago, Alside had an a large amount of turn over in their staff. In fact, we had three different sales representatives in one year, each of which was less knowledgeable than the prior representative. nWe put up with the changes in staff but when an order we had placed was wrong and cost our company a fifty thousand dollar sale we had experienced enough. nWhat's more I told Alvin Gilmore all of this, and he expressed to me that he was sure he could work something out with Alside because why would any company want to loose a MILLION DOLLAR account. Nothing happened. I told Mr. Gilmore if we could work something out on the mis-ordered door, that cost our company a fifty thousand dollar sale, we would again continue to buy from his client, Alside. nMr Gilmore continued with his claim to fight for Alside's eight thousand dollar claim and failed to look at the big picture and that his client had lost a MILLION DOLLAR customer. nOut of principle, I decided to let this claim go against our company because I believe that an attorney or any human should make a decision based on what is best for the greater good, rather than ones own self interest.
