Julia Simmons and her staff at Aspen Law Group saved my life! I am a multiple DUI offender and I was scared to death that I was going to prison for a long time because of my stupidity. When I looked for a lawyer I stumbled across her website and read all the reviews...at first I couldn't believe a lawyer could have that many good reviews. Trust me, I have hired plenty. But when we talked on the phone I could tell she was different. She actually cared about my situation. She was very up front and honest from the beginning. I took her advice and did exactly what she told me to do as the case was going through court. I decided to hire her and I am very glad I did. When it came down to it....I was being charged with DUI with 2 priors. I thought I was screwed. I don't live in California. I was there for work when I got the DUI. What can I say about Julia Simmons but….PHENOMENAL! On my second DUI while still on probation for my first I totaled my car, had a BAC of .24. I was looking at some serious penalties including at least 90 days in jail. I was going through a rough time in my life and was a stay at home mom. Never been to jail, never committed a crime, just your average woman. Julia is supportive but brutally honest. She properly prepared me for the potential consequences without sugar coating things. It was tough to hear but I am grateful that I never had false hopes. I just put my trust in her and did what she said. Before my sentence was decided, I checked myself into 90 day residential treatment. Although it was painful and very difficult to be away from my kids who I had never been without them a day in their life, I was able to focus on myself. I was able to discover my problems with alcohol. I learned more about myself and had more life healing in treatment than I could have ever imagined. I wasn’t sure if the judge would allow the treatment in lieu of jail but I just trusted that it would work out and I was in the best hands possible. Not only did Julia fight for me and get the 90 days residential treatment instead of jail but she was able to get my probation violation vacated. For the probation violation I was supposed to do 96 hours of jail. I didn’t have to do it. She sat in court all day long, put up with judges berating her and stayed…she doesn’t give up. She is incredibly competent and knowledgeable. Also, she fought my DMV hearing and although I did have to serve a hard suspension she got it down to 90 days instead of a year!!! She is a fighter and an amazing woman!!!! I am blessed to know her. I am blessed for all she did for me. Julia, I will be eternally grateful to you!!

After reviewing the remarkable comments regarding Julia's expertise I was eager to meet her and potentially have her represent me. I called into the office and was greeted by a young lady who was very rude. She interrupted me to tell me to "make it brief" and that she "doesn't need a long story" in the most condescending tone. I was shocked by her rude behavior when I am a potential client willing to pay whatever it takes to avoid the penalties of a dui, instead of apologizing, she cut me off again and said "I hope you go to jail" and hung up. I called again to ask for her name in which she did not reveal. It's unfortunate because it sounds like Julia is fantastic at what she does and since she represents people so well, she should seek the same in return, but her paralegal or office secretary is far from representing the firm in a good light. That's the only experience I have of this firm and I am disappointed to say the least !
