Rude and Dismissive. I inquired about help settling my wife's estate and planning for passing my estate to my daughters. Initially it went well. A pleasant person called back to get my info. She said they needed to do a conflict check and she'd get back to me. About an hour later I got a call from someone who started to do the same thing. I told her I was currently waiting on the results from a previous call. Then later that day I got a terse email from someone who told me to call them by tomorrow or they'd consider the mater closed. I considered it closed after reading the email. Like I'm going to engage a firm that is that arrogant from thr start. NOT!!!
Contacted this firm's lawyer Vera Buck for an hourly consultation. It turned out she is not licensed in Maine although she is on the Maine website. No apologies, and even though I suggested in a friendly way this could be avoided by a notation on each lawyer's bio, there was no apology or indeed response. In terms of getting the consultation I needed, she was very unhelpful and didn't refer me to a Maine colleague in her firm. When I asked for a referral her reply was useless. Either she was having a very bad day or the whole firm needs an attitude adjustment. Terrible service and terrible attitude.
