I am about as thorough as it gets; always measuring twice to cut once. I vetted and met with two attorneys before Lisa and in the end, I went with her. After losing my job, I found myself in VERY unfamiliar territory. I've never sued (or held accountable) any company before, and thought to take a softer approach as that's just me. During my vetting, I initially passed on Lisa as she seemed a bit aggressive. She didn’t seem to compliment my ‘soft approach’. What a mistake! You see, after meeting with attorney #2, they looked at my case and expressed that it was going to be a 'tough needle to thread'. In the same meeting, they shared that they were also pretty conservative. Immediately, I realized that's not what I needed. After all, I wasn't released from my job with a 'conservative' approach. I needed a 'pitbull in a skirt'. I then revisited Lisa. She excited me during our first meeting sharing that she does what she does to look out for those taken advantage of. There was nothing about my case that was 'tough to thread' to her. She immediately found the injustice. She was assertive, she and her team were always very responsive, and she was also very honest, even when it stung when educating me about any challenges. She was charming, witty, courageous, and always, always, always very strategic! This was someone who I needed on my team! (You need her on your team too!) Honestly, one of the BEST arsenals in my toolbelt! After navigating through the muck, she quickly got me what I respectively deserved! To this day I am more than satisfied. I supposed it's like they say, the third time's the charm! Lisa and team - thank you for all that you did to help me and my family, as they were impacted as well. But, especially for doing what you do every day!
Standing up to my employer was the hardest decision that I have ever made. Hiring Lisa Bertini to represent me was hands down the BEST decision that I have ever made. To say that Lisa is phenomenal would be an understatement; she really is a BOSS when it comes to defending her clients. She has the knowledge, the experience, and the credibility to get things done but she was also excellent at involving me and my input before executing any strategy. Her responsiveness was impeccable and she was always one step ahead of everyone else. She had my best interests at heart from the very beginning but she also made sure to never sugar coat things; she kept it real and always set expectations so that I could be as prepared as possible for whatever scenario came our way. My employer certainly tried their hardest to make things absolutely miserable for me - they were hostile and they were arrogant - but Lisa never once waivered. In the end, the outcome exceeded expectations and while we were celebrating our victory, they were going home with their tails between their legs. So, if I had to do it all again, would I? Absolutely, but ONLY with Lisa and her amazing team standing alongside me. I can promise you that you will not regret hiring her to represent you, but you will probably regret it if you don’t hire her. Lisa is, without a doubt, the person you want beside you, not against you, and if you are looking for the light at the end of the tunnel, look no further – Lisa will find it!
All of the negative reviews on this lawyer are TRUE!!! Do NOT hire her for anything. Doing so will be at your own risk. She is incompetent, lazy, and inconsistent. She does not honor her word and is combative and unprofessional when confronted with her own lies!! This is not Megan. But as usual, your unprofessionalism shows! A lawyer cannot FIRE a client.... smh Proof again in her own words NOT to hire her!!
Ms. Bertini is hardworking, knowledgeable, and efficient. She readily answered all of my questions and made me feel at ease. I would highly recommend her and her outstanding team!
Lisa Bertini is not someone I would ever hire again! Made the unfortunate mistake of having her represent me in the hope she could negotiate a settlement with my employer for wrongful dismissal. Ultimately I was successful, but not because of her. Most of our meetings started with the same review of the facts (taking time), several times she showed up without my information (which I once again provided to her). Paid her $325/hr to communicate the information, strategy and script I provided, not bc I wanted to but bc I had to due to her incompetence.
