ATTORNEY FEES – HOW WE GET PAID All of the injury cases we handle are on a “contingent fee” basis. This includes workers’ compensation, personal injury and Social Security disability claims. This means that you pay attorney fees only if there is a settlement or recovery in your case. If there’s no recovery, you pay nothing. There are also expenses involved in pursuing a claim, such as the cost of obtaining medical records and reports, investigations, filing fees, expert witnesses, etc. Except in very rare or unusual cases, we don’t ask you for any money when you hire us or at any time while we are handling your case. We pay the expenses of the lawsuit and recover those expenses only if we are successful. YOUR INITIAL CONSULTATION IS ALWAYS FREE Whether you wish to discuss your claim on the phone, in our office or in your home, there is never any fee for a consultation. You will always receive our honest evaluation of your claim and whether it may be worth pursuing. If you decide that you would like us to help you, fees will be paid from any settlement or recovery on your claim. Call us today with any questions you might have or if we can assist you in any way.

CLAIMS AGAINST ALL EMPLOYERS - BIG OR SMALL

CLAIMS AGAINST ALL EMPLOYERS - BIG OR SMALL Steve Bradt has been representing accident and injury victims across northern Minnesota since 1983. A native of the Iron Range, he grew up in Eveleth and attended UMD and the University of Minnesota Law School. Steve has successfully handled over 1,000 workers' compensation, personal injury, wrongful death and social security disability claims over the past 28 years. Steve has been successful in claims against all of the big insurance companies and is not afraid to take on any employer, no matter the size, when his clients' rights are at stake. He has handled claims against the big box retailers, mining and construction companies, cities, counties and the State of Minnesota, as well as many others, large and small. As a result, he enjoys the confidence of referrals from former clients, health care providers and vocational rehabilitation consultants. In addition to his representation of injury victims, Steve has taught courses and lectured on litigation, trial practice and workers' compensation at Itasca Community College. He has served as board president for non-profit corporations such as the Itasca County YMCA, United Way and Room for Employment. Before relocating his practice to Grand Rapids, Steve was a founding partner with the Duluth law firm of Cuzzo, Bradt & Envall from 1999 until 2006.
