Like any Attorney, they have several cases going on at the same time. Mr. Burchett got the charges lowered like a good attorney should before entering the Court Room. It took some time for me to explain the situation as he had a lot in his caseload for the day. After we clarified the details of the case before entering the Court Room. We mutually decided to have the case taken to trial that day. With Burchett and a good Judge, my case was found “Not Guilty”. We still do not understand in how the Magistrate was even allowed to move forward with such a case. The Commonwealth Attorney should have dropped it from the beginning. All that was being stated by the opposing party is that “I have to pay”. In speaking with Police Officers in Spotsylvania County who arrested me and outside of my case. Having a good attorney is very well worth it when such charges are placed out of spite, rather than a true crime being committed. To the Spotsylvania Arresting Officers in my case, it is nice to see those who are doing their job and be understanding at the same time. Mr. Burchett has a lot on his plate to manage with his Law Firm, but he truly listened and worked with me on the case when the time was right & needed. My case just finished. I was being charged with two felonies, each punishable up to 5 years in prison. Mr.Burchett is an amazing attorney. He is very kind and polite with your best interest always in mind. He works quickly and efficiently. Would highly recommend him to anyone. The receptionist is very nice and makes sure to give the attorneys any messages in a timely manner. If they miss a call, they called back that same day. Mr.Burchett never made me feel rushed or unimportant, that's even for phone calls as well. Over all I rate a 5, if I could rate higher I would.
