Reviews

Mr Hughbanks at this firm is a fair and fantastic attorney to work with, hence my 3 stars. He has always spoken with me professionally and taken good care of my interests. I hired this firm for both of my companies and paid a 4,000 retainer to handle some legal issues. When I noticed that I was being double billed by a partner of the firm for the exact same work being done I asked to close my accounts. Any other attorney firm would have only charged me one attorney fee, not two. I only spoke with Mr. Hughbanks after my initial consultation and when I noticed he was charging for the same work the other attorney was doing I questioned it. nWhen I started itemizing my bill I noticed I was charged $420 for my initial consultation that was never discussed prior to me retaining this firm. (Even though this attorneys hourly fee was $300, I was charged $420 because I have two businesses? How can you charge this when it's the same hour? I was not charged by the other member of the firm that was present in the meeting so I honestly thought it was just an error and oversite. nWhen I requested for my invoice to be reviewed because this charge was never disclosed I was rudely told "I don't remember asking you to come in for a consultation". nI was going to give the firm a one star rating but that wouldn't be fair to Mr. Hughbanks who did a sensational job and never once personally talked down to me or charged me in error. It's sad thinking I hired this firm and paid a lot of money to them and was talked to this way when requesting my invoices be reviewed so I understand them. I surely don't expect people to work for free but I sure do expect a $420 initial consultation fee to certainly be disclosed upfront seeing as most attorneys give free initial consultations hoping to retain the person as a client.
