Charlie Rosene could quite possibly be one of the worst lawyers in the St. Louis area. Even though my legal expenses are covered through legal insurance at my employer, he still found a way for me (as a plaintiff) to lose hundreds of dollars thanks to his poor legal advice. One of the firm’s partners saw my case details I had posted on the ARAG legal site, and they passed it to another lawyer in the office that handled my county. Enter Charlie Rosene. It took a few weeks and a couple of follow up calls for Charlie to even get back to me at first. Trying to get him to return a call was a recurring issue during my time working with him, even after acknowledging some calls with a generic ‘will call you back’ text. Once he drafted and mailed a letter to the people we were legally pursuing, I was pretty excited that things were moving forward. Things were about to go south quick. When I spoke with Charlie in November 2023, he advised that we go ahead and pay for the repair we were seeking prior homeowners to cover. The kicker was that he was providing this advice and couldn’t confirm which of the sellers he spoke with, so he obviously didn’t take any notes on that call. After months of waiting for a reply and paying for this repair thinking we would get reimbursed after submitting a receipt, we were informed by Charlie that there wasn’t much he could do to help us since the people we were going after moved to a state where he is not licensed. Since then, we have tried calling him to see if there’s anything else we can do since the defendants still have rental property in the area, only to be met with an always full voicemail and no responses to emails.

Attorney switched from beach to maas 3/4th of the way through case. Judge switched at the last 2 court dates when he was over packed and both of those ultimately made a MAJOR impact on my case, along with other things but ultimately they would be an outstanding law firm if they kept the same attorney through the entire case. I also wish their response time was a bit faster, or if when Charlie became gal then the judge would have listened to him to know my kids were not safe but missed was zipping his fly and coming out of his chambers with the foster parents attorney wiping her cleft lip and adjusting her clothes. Becky was a mean lady when she was against you and finally was on my side and Jefferson county switched my gal and judge and my lawyer was not there, still went to guardianship. This company works for Jc. Do not trust. But appreciate to the fullest Charlie and him taking me in the other room and crying with me and he tryed his damndest to beg missey not to let horrible blackmailing rapists have my children but it failed. Poor communication and follow up. Had a civil case filed through legal services insurance. They responded saying they was interested. I called left a message 3 time before they finally returned our call. Then when I got ahold of them the guy said his partner handle cases in the city and he will have him call me about the case. But definitely asking for all the insurance information before getting off the phone. Then I call 3 time trying to get ahold of this partner that’s never around or return calls on cases that they requested. Do better and respect people’s time please.
