The receptionist is very nice and helpful, but the lawyer I spoke to was an absolute A$$hat. Didn’t seem to know what he was talking about at all, and wanted a $1000 upfront fee for a speeding ticket with no guarantees of winning the case????. I’ve used over 8 lawyers in speeding related cases, and have yet to meet one as unprofessional is Mr. Pineo. I ended up with another local attorney whose attitude wasn’t ego filled, and rates reasonable for the given circumstances.

Tried to hire Todd Deal as my attorney and at first he made it seem like everything would work out and told me a price. A week later I came up with the money he said I'd need for the retainer and called to tell him I had the money to hire him. He wanted to set up a time to meet and when I went there he asked me why we were meeting and then made a comment about "if" I could afford to hire him and I had already told him I came up with the retainer which is what he said I needed to do to hire him. When I got emotional about everything going on in my life from him asking if everything was okay, he told me he wouldnt represent me and I needed to find someone else. He should have known why we were meeting as he is the one who set it up, and he also should have referred to his notes about my case from the FIRST time I met with him to know when court is and what the charges were, but then he asks me for the paperwork that I had brought a few weeks ago and already had shown him. Then I say I'm upset and need a license back, he tells me I need to go to the DMV (which btw is CLOSED BECAUSE OF COVID) and that he can't do anything about my license, but he didnt bother telling me 3 weeks ago to do that. Pretty unprofessional to keep someone waiting around just to tell them theres nothing that they can to do help the person, KNOWING that I have 60 days to fight for my license. So good job there totally screwing me and then refusing to help at all, now I see why I was told not to go there for help by a lot of people. Great way to get a bad rep.
