These individual offices using the Delta Dental brand and creating HORRIBLE experiences for dental providers trying to care for our patients. This office has implemented a policy that is ONLY for this office where they will not answer ANY policy questions leaving us (the dentist) and policy holder to guess what they will cover and pay. They suggest a pretreatment determination which typically takes 3 weeks for processing... Imagine having a toothache just to be told you'll need to wait 3 weeks for an answer from this ONE location OR you pay for services rendered just to be billed later due to the mysterious & shady ways of this one particular location. Terrible practices! I have no clue how these tiny locations are able to get these policies approved by Delta Dental...
Delta is a major insurance company, and like most big dental insurance companies, they have a waiting period of 6 months (with you paying monthly premiums) before you can receive covered dental care. This is purely a scam. There are a few lesser known good insurance companies that offer immediate coverage of basic services, which I'd recommend over Delta. You get immediate coverage with health insurance, car insurance and any other that I can think of. Insurance companies can't ethically charge someone for a service, but disallow them to use it. Delta and others like them will need to change their business model to survive. Buying insurance should be a win-win, and going with Delta is NOT a win for the customer.
Horrid and don't ever give them your CC or account info to bill, you will never get it stopped. Find other options or self pay unless you just want to send this company gifts on a regular basis.
They have the worst customer service ever they never respond to anything they treat your Dentist like they are a second class person. You are on hold forever their apps and their website never work I’ve never been able to sign in. I think they are a monopoly and that they should be investigated.
Don't respond. Terrible customer service and unfair coverage. They wont cover prevention of damage due to misalignment. Insurance... it's a business of percentages and con men.
