I definitely feel taken advantage of by this attorney. During my initial phone call with him to see if I wanted to hire him to assist with a real estate transaction, he verbally quoted me between $400-600. I was sent a bill for $583 which was on the high end of his quote, however, I went ahead and paid it. About a month later I received a revised bill and my check back in the mail. The new bill was for $1236.88 and was added to the closing documents and distributed to him through the title company after the closing. My overall feeling is that I was overcharged by $636.88. That would be the $1236.88 minus the high end of the quote of $600 dollars. I won’t get into line by line what he charged me for but in my opinion it was way above and beyond what I was expecting. I was even charged $93 for an “initial consultation” which was the first phone call I made to him prior to agreeing to use his services! I should also say that I had to make several corrections to the work he did as he was not even looking at the correct survey plot for the property I was purchasing. I emailed Donal Bacon my concerns and he couldn’t be bothered to respond which is why I am ultimately writing this one star review.
