Barrett, Fasig & Brooks

I chose Fasig|Brooks to represent me after an auto accident in 2020. Through the entire litigation process they were great, communication was timely, they were quick to explain things when I asked and in the end they got a settlement equitable to me. But, after settling is where the problem arose. I received a bill several times during the process of the case from one provider. I contacted my attorney several times about it. Even emailed it to her at one point. I was told it would be taken care of. So when I was contacted several months after the case settled with a message of more money for me after they paid the providers and all other fees/charges, I assumed there was no issue. Well, there was. That particular bill never got paid, and I got left on the hook for nearly $1,200. I reached out multiple times for help with it (Trying to get all communications between the firm and this provider, hoping someone on the providers end missed something) and never heard from my attorney, only her paralegal. I called the attorney on 11/24/2021 and left a voicemail. The last communication I got from anyone at the firm was from her paralegal, on 12/3/2021. Where I was told I had not been forgotten about and I would be called by the end of the day. It's now 2/8/2022, still waiting on that phone call. Meanwhile, I've been fighting a collections agency n my own with only half of the information I need. I'm now either faced with paying a reduced amount of $809 or go to court and hope for the best. And I'm still waiting for that phone call promised to me on 12/3/2021. I've attached the last communication I had with anyone at the firm. Overall, I was happy with the treatment I received during the litigation process, the communication during litigation and the assistance offered throughout that process. But I am not at all happy with what happened after the case settled. Why were funds held in trust to be used to pay medical bills and case related costs released to me as excess funds when a provider had not been paid? And why did I never get a call from the attorney when I called her 11/24/2021 and left a voicemail about this, or that promised call from her paralegal on 12/3/2021?
