Attorney Everson has continued to demonstrate compassion, diligence, functional acumen, and punctuality with every encounter my family has had with him. We appreciate the hard work both he and his staff put in to ensure we are getting the professional services and answers we need.
If i could give this 0 stars I would because it isn't deserving of even 1 star. Was working on the purchase of a home and the seller chose for us to send the documents to Attorney Everson. Upon review of our offer, we got an email stating that the seller was no longer interested in selling the property and we were to not contact her ever again. Fast forward a few months later, after viewing public records, we came to find that the house was indeed SOLD to someone else. To make matters worse, the new purchasers last name is EVERSON. Coincidence? I think NOT! Needless to say this was a pretty ruthless and shady thing for an attorney to intervene between a transaction for the purpose of personal or family gain. We are happy that the seller was able to get more money for the sale of her house, however, given the chance to match the offer, we would have likely purchased for the same price. It goes without saying that Everson will NEVER get a recommendation from us or anyone we work with and I would HIGHLY SUGGEST that you do your due diligence before coming to this firm for any real estate advice as you may be putting yourself at risk of being taken advantage of for personal gain of the attorney or his family.
Michael Gibbs simply doesn't know state taxes with regards to estate planning and protection of assets. He also frustrated my mother as he didn't listen to what she wanted. She stated her goals clearly and he dismissed them. She was not happy. Instead he kept telling us to use a transfer of deed at death. Well, no kidding. We didn't need to pay $250 for something so simple. He wasn't comfortable with any types of trusts either. I'm truly not sure if he knows the difference between a revocable and irrevocable trust. I'm hoping he's better at other types of law because he's not at all competent at estate planning. However, he was professional and seems like a nice guy, just needs further education on estate planning.
I’ve used Everson and Gibbs as representation to purchase a home and referred my mom to sell her land. Both transactions went splendidly and we saved money by using them. I have received advice from them on many occasions, to include a foreclosure, getting money back from a landlord and a home owner’s insurance claim. I’ve always felt they had my best interest in mind and dealt honestly with common sense.
I have never had to use a lawyer before and quite honestly am hesitant to get legal involved unless needed...circumstances being what they may required the need for litigation by someone who had an expertise in personal injury. This is where one is often in the blind...in other words what's the quality of service or how diligent will a firm representing my needs truly go to bat for me. A family friend of ours had similar circumstances and raved about the services they had received. When asked the settlement it was literally jaw dropping for they had only received 1/3 of the settlement amount that we had received. Let me repeat, Everson and Gibbs, was able to work 3 times the settlement size vs. another "very well known" law firm. Can't say enough just truly appreciative and grateful for the integrity and hard work that the folks at Everson and Gibbs put in towards making sure that their clients come first. Mark
