Marcel represented me in an employment-related matter, and negotiated a favorable settlement. To say he sheltered me in a storm would be an understatement. I recommended him to a classmate from MIT who raved about how professional he was even though he couldn't immediately help due to her location. I have retained Marcel Florestal on several occasions and have found him to be very knowledgable and personable. He worked on my Dad's Will several years ago, set up Wills for my wife and me, and set up our family Trust. Very professional, hardworking and flexible (met with me in the evening to accommodate my work schedule). He took the time to answer our numerous questions. I would highly recommend him.

If you are considering hiring Marcel Forestal for your case, I strongly suggest you look elsewhere. I have significant experience with attorneys and I have found Mr. Forestal’s knowledge and behavior to be sub-standard. Not only did he miss critical information in reviewing legal papers, but he also demonstrated poor billing practices. He had the guts to bill me to prepare the invoice!! Preparing an invoice is clearly not billable time, but he refuses to provide a credit for the amount charged. This forced me to file a fee dispute with the New York State Bar Association. To add to the situation, Mr. Forestal has not yet returned the funds remaining from the retainer. I told Mr. Forestal that I no longer needed his services on January 2. He refused to provide a final invoice until January 15. Notwithstanding my several requests to receive the refund check promptly, as of today (February 10), Mr. Forestal has not yet sent me a check. Overall, I wish I had never retained Mr. Forestal. I personally believe that (1) his legal knowledge is not as good as the legal knowledge of other attorneys in this field, and the (2) his billing practices are horrendous.

Attorney Florestal provides excellent service. My family has been happy with him for years.
