Frederick M. Lang

My name is Allen Romrell and about 13 years ago, I went to MD Anderson to have a resection done for a tumor in the right frontal lobe of my brain. Dr. Lang had just stepped down from his surgical role to take on a leadership role in the cancer center and was gracious in accepting my request to perform the operation on me. I know that every cancer experience is different and there are varying outcomes on brain surgeries but Dr. Lang was incredibly positive and encouraging. He performed the surgery flawlessly and after the resection and subsequent biopsy determined that I had a rare form of Glioblastoma with a P19q chromosome deletion. this meant that it was thought to be highly treatable with oral chemo and radiation treatments. I am grateful for his skill and encouragement. I did and still do experience a slower processing ability and have trouble negotiating math and abstract thoughts and ideas, but went right back to work as as a sales person within a week of the surgery. I am now 62 and working in the technology field and enjoying an adventurous life with my wife. We love to travel, ride motorcycles, and scuba dive on a regular basis. I owe the quality of my life to Dr. Lang and hope he reads this. Thank You Dr. Lang!

He was able to get mostly mt tumor our my h more than my original surgeon overall experience has bewnA+++ his whole team has been incredible he is very patient with his team ansi heard him teaching his fellow and get was a very calm and patient teacher I seriously love this man like he were my father, at least a consult with this brilliant doctor and you will see how awesome he is
