We recently used HMP for the closing of our home. We had issues arise and HMP failed to return numerous calls and emails. I have never written a bad review for anyone before, but never have I ever experienced such unprofessional behavior. They misled us and failed to take responsibility for their bad behavior. No one EVER returned a single call or email from my husband or I...totally unacceptable. Use them at your own peril.

My husband and I had a closing with L.K. “Trey” Harrell III. Very nice attorney. But having done this type of transaction at other States before, my experience here in SC and this office had me feeling very uneasy. I barely felt acknowledged during the process. The entire interaction was awkward and the main thing that upset me was the lack of prioritizing the accuracy of the deed and applying my name as the buyers wife. We are married and purchasing this together so of course both parties should be included in all conversation.
I’ve never felt inclined to make a review but my current experience warrants this. HMP was the closing attorney on my home purchase three years ago. It was great. Fast forward to now when I am selling the house, and my current attorney discovered the incorrect plat was referenced in my deed which is something that has to be corrected to sell my home. HMP has been aware of this error for a week now, and has failed to return calls or emails from my attorney and agent. Meanwhile, the sale of my home is in danger and subsequently has my new home in danger as well. Hate to have to make this post, but I feel it should be known. Update: The issue has promptly been resolved! Very appreciative HMP got this done!
Always open with Communication, very transparent. Closings are very efficient and all the Attorneys help put tremendously. The Paralegals and office staff are the best around!
